The combination of handsome guys and beautiful girls was naturally alluring, especially since each of their looks outshone the other.
They were like four luminous beings, grouped together—it was quite a sight.
"Decide what you want to eat, and I’ll buy it for you. You go find a seat first." Arriving at the cafeteria, Sheng Ting said to Shen Weiyi.
"I’ll go with you guys," said Shen Weiyi. These past days, He Huan had been eager to buy her meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not wanting to trouble him too much, she would eat whatever he bought. But now that she was here, she wanted to check out the food for herself at the serving window.

They arrived a bit late, and many dishes had already been picked clean.
Shen Weiyi noticed the last serving of pepper chicken at the window and reached to grab it, when another hand reached out simultaneously.

Shen Weiyi looked up to see Shen Jingqi beside her. Shen Jingqi, with eyes wide, stubbornly stared back at her, neither willing to back down.
Shen Jingqi said, "I am the guest," implying that she should give it to him.
Shen Weiyi countered, "I am injured," to see if he would feel too embarrassed to fight over it with an injured person.
Truthfully, Shen Weiyi should have let him have the dish since he was visiting Z University for the first time—they were the hosts, and he was the guest. However, He Huan probably thought of her as a patient these days. The meals he got her were all bland, and she felt she was about to lose her sense of taste. She wanted something with a strong flavor.
That happened to be one of her favorite dishes.
Shen Jingqi felt the same. Since it was the last serving and so many people were eager to get it, it must be delicious.
Neither let go of the plate.
Shen Weiyi looked up at the aunty serving food behind the window and probed, "Aunty, do you have any more of this dish?"
The aunty craned her neck to see and replied, "Nope, this is the last serving for today."
Assessing the situation, from Shen Jingqi to Shen Weiyi, the aunty helped to resolve it by pulling the plate over and putting it in the plate in front of Shen Weiyi, saying, "The young girl here is so skinny, you should eat more. The young man can let this one pass and get something else."
