"Senior." Shen Weiyi greeted obediently.
Boys always had little resistance against soft-spoken girls, especially ones as pretty as her.
"From now on, you can follow Sheng and call me senior brother. It sounds more intimate. Later, you can let Sheng show you around," the other party said with a beaming smile.
"Okay, thank you, senior brother," Shen Weiyi nodded.
"Then take your time looking around, I’ll go conduct my experiment," the other person said and cheerfully walked away.
After greeting the other person, Shen Weiyi looked up and met Sheng Ting’s gaze head-on.
"What’s wrong?" Shen Weiyi subconsciously touched her face.
Was there something on her face?
"Nothing," Sheng Ting shook his head.
He just felt she was a bit different than usual.
Sheng Ting withdrew his gaze and then took her on a tour of the laboratory, briefly introducing the regular instruments they used. Finally, he led her to a desk: "You can sit here if you need anything, just call me." He also pointed to the computer on the desk and told her, "If you get bored, you can also go online."
"Okay, go on with your work, don’t mind me," Shen Weiyi said. "Don’t worry, I definitely won’t touch anything in the lab."
"You can touch anything here," Sheng Ting pointed to the things on the desk.
After saying that, he went back to his work.
Shen Weiyi glanced at the desk in front of her, which was very neatly arranged, clearly reflecting someone’s style.
She picked up a book from the side, and sure enough, it had Sheng Ting’s name on it.
After placing the book back in its spot, Shen Weiyi’s gaze then fell on the laptop on the desk.
The laptop must have been Sheng Ting’s own, as she had seen him use it before at the Sheng Family’s house.
But Shen Weiyi just looked at it and did not open it, instead taking out a professional book from her bag.
The laboratory was very quiet, occasionally they could hear Sheng Ting talking with the senior brother, but most of the time they were each busy with their own tasks.
It turned out to be quite suitable for reading and self-study.
Time flew by quickly, and before she knew it, more than an hour had passed.
Shen Weiyi’s eyes were a bit sore, so she stopped to rest them, her gaze unconsciously landed on Sheng Ting. He had put on a lab coat and once again wore his gold-rimmed glasses on his nose, staring at a set of experimental equipment in front of him, observing and taking notes.
Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but rest her chin in her hand and stare at him, finding him more and more attractive the longer she looked.
No wonder they say that guys who work diligently are the handsomest. It’s really true.
Perhaps her gaze was too intense because even the person being stared at felt it, and Sheng Ting suddenly looked up, his eyes directly meeting hers.
Not embarrassed in the slightest when caught spying, Shen Weiyi confidently pulled at the corner of her mouth and raised a smiling face.
Sheng Ting was dazzled by her smile for a moment, then he put down what he was holding and walked over to her, saying, "Getting bored?"
"Not really!" She usually stayed in to read books, and now it was no different, just a change of scenery.
Sheng Ting glanced at the professional book opened in front of her, filled with dense notes.
"I’m sorry!" he said.
Other couples might go out shopping or to the movies for a date, and here they were, on the first day confirming their relationship, she could only join him in the lab.
Shen Weiyi playfully winked at him: "I think it’s quite nice here too. When I’m tired of reading books, I can look at a handsome guy and relax my eyes."
Sheng Ting couldn’t help but smile.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
