Before dawn, it was time for the annual club recruitment day.
The drama club didn’t host many activities, just one or two a year. Because of Xie Hongfei and Shi Yu, she was always given an inconspicuous minor role, either with just one or two lines or none at all. This arrangement didn’t take up much time and still counted as participating in club activities.
Shen Weiyi received a text from Xie Hongfei asking her to help with the recruitment of freshers this year.
Thinking about how he had taken care of her over the past year, Shen Weiyi readily agreed.
The recruitment scene was as bustling as ever.
The freshers had just finished their military training, each with a face full of hope and longing for the beautiful university life ahead.

Her main task for today was to stand at the front of the booth, serving as the poster girl for the drama club.
She recalled how Xie Hongfei and Shi Yu came up with the idea to print Sheng Ting’s photo on the recruitment flyer to attract new members last year. This year, they had gone one step further by offering a real-life greeting.
However, the result was remarkable.
Many freshers came to sign up and inquire at the booth, with some bold junior boys even approaching Shen Weiyi directly to ask for her WeChat.
Xie Hongfei didn’t even need Shen Weiyi to speak; he clearly refused for her: to get the junior’s WeChat, one must pass the drama club’s recruitment and become a member.
Eager to get Shen Weiyi’s WeChat, everyone rushed to sign up. The number of applicants even surpassed that of the previous year.
Others needed two days, three days, or even a week to fill their spots; they managed to get it all done in an afternoon.
After sorting out the sign-up sheets, Xie Hongfei happily announced to everyone, "Thanks for your hard work today. I’ll treat you all to dinner tonight."
"Thank you, President, you’re the coolest," everyone cheered immediately.
Lin Xiao had left the club last semester, and the current president was Xie Hongfei.
"Stop flattering me. There’s still work to do after dinner. We need to go through these applications and decide who will advance to the next round of interviews."
