School Hunk or Childhood Sweetheart? Chapter 265

After dinner, a group of people, including Sheng Ting, returned to the drama club’s office.

There were six or seven people in total, each holding a stack of application forms in their hands.

Their task was to sort through these applications, register them, and then notify each candidate one by one.

Although there were hundreds of application forms, sorting them was quick, primarily focusing on the section about interests and special skills.

In less than half an hour, everyone had finished organizing them.

Shen Weiyi followed behind Sheng Ting as they left the office, walking one after the other. Shen Weiyi was somewhat distracted and didn’t even notice when Sheng Ting stopped, bumping right into him.

Her head unexpectedly hit someone’s hard back, and Shen Weiyi suddenly came to her senses, stepping back and looking up at the person in front of her.

She saw Sheng Ting turn around, his eyes dark and profound as they looked at her.

"Cough!" Shen Weiyi lightly coughed, breaking the awkwardness, "You didn’t tell Senior Brother Xie and the others about our breakup?"

"Uh-huh!" Sheng Ting replied indifferently, his expression unchanged.

"Why?" Shen Weiyi didn’t understand.

Sheng Ting gave her a deep look and said, "Because there’s no need!"

Shen Weiyi frowned, wondering if he felt there was no need to tell others about their breakup.

Indeed, a breakup wasn’t something to be proud of; it really wasn’t necessary to broadcast it widely.

But considering they were roommates and he was quite familiar with them, Shen Weiyi thought he would at least mention it.

But, unexpectedly, he hadn’t said a word.

Thinking about the past year, the care she had received from Xie Hongfei and Shi Yu must have been for his sake.

Shen Weiyi suddenly didn’t know what to say.

Sheng Ting quickly averted his gaze and continued walking.

Shen Weiyi saw he was heading in the same direction as her, and hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to follow. Considering they had already broken up, walking together might lead to misunderstandings, and he might not even want to walk with her.

So, she deliberately slowed down her pace, trying to create some distance, but she couldn’t tell if it was just her imagination that the person ahead also seemed to slow down.

The two maintained a moderate distance between them.

It wasn’t until below the men’s dormitory that Sheng Ting walked straight in, without exchanging another word with Shen Weiyi.

Shen Weiyi watched his figure disappear into the entrance of the men’s dormitory building, and couldn’t help but press her lips together, feeling a sour taste. It took her a long while to look away and continue walking towards the women’s dormitory building.

When she returned to the dormitory, Yan Xiaoyue noticed her distracted look and waved her hand in front of her face, asking, "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing!" Shen Weiyi came back to her senses and looked at her, "I want to ask you guys a question. If you and your boyfriend broke up, would you tell the people around you?"

"I guess so!" Fang Jing nodded her head. After all, you would want to talk to someone about such a thing.

Yan Xiaoyue said, "I think I would, and even if I didn’t, the people around me would notice, right?" Being in a relationship and being single are completely different states that anyone with clear eyesight would recognize instantly.

"So, what does it mean if someone breaks up and tells no one?" Shen Weiyi asked again.

"If they tell no one..." Yan Xiaoyue raised her eyebrows and said, "Either they feel too embarrassed to mention it, or they haven’t given up hope, and they might still be thinking of getting the other person back."

Shen Weiyi momentarily fell silent.

Both possibilities seemed too unlikely!
