"What are you going to do?" Qin Zhen blurted out unconsciously.
After knowing each other for so long, she could tell that girl hadn’t completely let go.
Her attitude toward Sheng Ting was completely different from how she treated Jiang Zhiyi after their breakup.
"Chill it!" Shen Weiyi said.
"I’m serious," Qin Zhen gave her a sideways glance.
Shen Weiyi tugged at the corner of her lips, "I’m serious too. I thought about trying hard, but he already has a girlfriend. What can I do if not chill it? You know, I’m pretty lazy and hate getting involved in love triangles." If she had been inclined to struggle, she wouldn’t have broken up with Jiang Zhiyi in the first place.
Qin Zhen looked at her helplessly, "You! Sometimes I don’t know whether to say you see too clearly or to call you too passive. I think in matters of the heart, sometimes you should fight for it. Even though Senior Sheng has a girlfriend, they aren’t married yet! Who knows? Maybe he still has feelings for you?"
"Tscc, your values aren’t quite right, no matter what, once you start a relationship, you should take responsibility for it. The other girl hasn’t done anything wrong; I can’t just wreck someone else’s happiness because I want to get back together."
"Alright, I can’t argue with you; as long as you’ve thought it through." Qin Zhen gave up on persuading her.
Shen Weiyi smiled at her, "Don’t worry! Didn’t you say it yourself? I see things clearly and won’t regret the decisions I make."
"You don’t regret breaking up with Senior Sheng?" Although Qin Zhen said she wouldn’t interfere with her and Sheng Ting, she couldn’t help but ask.
"I don’t regret it," Shen Weiyi replied, "Though there are regrets, seeing him become a better person and knowing that my presence hasn’t negatively affected his life makes me happy."
Qin Zhen still felt something was off with her thinking, but couldn’t quite pinpoint what.
Seeing she had clear thoughts, she decided not to dwell on it.
Just as she was about to change the subject, she suddenly caught sight of a familiar, tall figure and quickly signaled that girl, then called out, "Senior Sheng, you’re just in time. We were about to look for you guys to come hang out with us."
Shen Weiyi stiffened, turned around, and saw Sheng Ting standing not far away.
She didn’t know how long he had been there or if he had overheard her conversation with Qin Zhen.
"You guys talk," Qin Zhen said and then left first.
Shen Weiyi was annoyed by her friend’s lack of loyalty, not wanting to face Sheng Ting alone at this moment. But Qin Zhen had run off too quickly, and she was too late to stop her.
"Are you avoiding me?" Sheng Ting stared at her for a while before speaking up.
"No!" Shen Weiyi shook her head. Z University was so large, and they were in different departments. Plus, he spent most of his time in the laboratory, so unless she deliberately showed herself in front of him, it was hard to run into him.
So there was no need to deliberately avoid him.
"Then what do you mean?" Sheng Ting said coldly, "Suddenly showing up, then disappearing, Shen Weiyi, do you think it’s fun to play with people like that?"
