Shen Weiyi said, "I came here to work, not to network with colleagues."
Meng Qiao couldn’t help but choke for a moment, then forced a polite yet awkward smile, "That’s not entirely true either. We’re newcomers, and we often depend on the support of our seniors. Since everyone is so enthusiastic, it wouldn’t hurt to get along with them."
Her counterpart spoke with sincerity, seemingly with Weiyi’s best interests at heart, as if her refusal to go would be ignorant.

Everyone spoke one after the other, clearly excluding Shen Weiyi.

"Qiaoqiao, don’t speak up for her," said female colleague number one as she glared at Shen Weiyi. "Some people are just ungrateful. You’re helping her, but she may not appreciate it."
Female colleague number two said, "That’s right, you’re also new here, but you’re much more considerate than she is."
Female colleague number three added, "Exactly. Not everyone is as kind-hearted and modestly polite as you are. I think some people just lack upbringing. If she looks down on us, we really shouldn’t bother inviting her."
Meng Qiao furrowed her brows, her expression one of difficulty, then she spoke, "Weiyi, are you really not going to join us?"
"No," said Shen Weiyi. From beginning to end, her attitude was resolute, and she didn’t feel embarrassed or apologetic because of their provocations.
