"All right, the engagement party is about to start; I’ll accompany you to change into your dress!" Shen Tan shooed her boyfriend out of the dressing room and went to help Shen Weiyi change clothes with the stylist.
The dress was made to order, hastily completed within a month.
Though slightly rushed, the resulting dress was exceptionally beautiful.
Combined with Shen Weiyi’s perfect height and figure, the dress looked absolutely perfect on her.
When Sheng Ting knocked and entered, he was immediately stunned.
"Come back to your senses," Shen Tan said, waving her hand in front of him.
It was then that Sheng Ting vaguely shifted his gaze, smiling, "You look really good today."
Shen Weiyi: "So do you."
Sheng Ting was also wearing a custom-tailored dress, a black, handcrafted suit that outlined an almost perfect waist and shoulders, complemented by his flawless face, which was so captivating that one couldn’t help but take a second look.
The two standing together were like a classic scene straight out of a novel.
"The engagement party is about to begin; are you ready?" Sheng Ting asked softly.
Shen Weiyi nodded with a smile.
"Then let’s go!" Sheng Ting said, extending his hand toward her, which Shen Weiyi naturally took.
The skirt of the dress was somewhat long, and Shen Tan was behind her, lifting it up.
As they exited the dressing room, they saw that most of the guests had already arrived.
Meng Shangchu was also there but didn’t sit at the main table; instead, he was seated at a nearby friends and family table.
He was sitting with Lu He, his spouse, and Shen Jingqi.
This was arranged after Shen Weiyi and Shen Juanzhi had consulted.
It was also Meng Shangchu’s own request.
After all, her identity was somewhat awkward, not many knew about it, and today was Shen Weiyi’s big engagement day; she did not want the past brought up on such an occasion, such an important day.
As for Qin Zhen, he was sitting together with Yan Xiaoyue and Fang Jing.

Shen Weiyi was not surprised; from Qin Zhen’s complexion and reactions just now, she had guessed that there had been problems between the two earlier.
"Isn’t it normal to have arguments in a relationship?" she said, then looking in the direction of the boy Shen Tan brought, she asked, "Don’t you guys argue?"
Shen Tan rolled her eyes at her, "Can’t you hope for the best for me?" She and Song Yun had only been together for a few days, still in the honeymoon phase; what was there to argue about?
"I’m concerned about you, scared you’ll fall deep without realizing it," Shen Weiyi clearly saw that the girl’s attitude towards this boy was different from others.
"Don’t worry, I’m not some love-struck fool; there are plenty of men out there, if this one isn’t good enough, I’ll just switch to another," Shen Tan said lightly, as if changing boyfriends was as simple as changing clothes.
Then, realizing something amiss, she looked at her skeptically, "Why do I feel like you don’t think highly of us?"
"It’s not that I don’t think highly of you two, you are my best sister, I’m just afraid of you getting hurt," Shen Weiyi explained.
Mainly, it was the girl’s attitude towards relationships that was worrying.
"Who am I, when have you ever seen me suffer a loss because of a man?" Shen Tan certainly didn’t feel she would be heartbroken over a man.
"That’s good to hear." People are inherently selfish, and although she didn’t support Shen Tan’s view on love, she didn’t want her to be hurt or humbled by men.
"But speaking of which, why weren’t you worried about me before?" Shen Tan raised an eyebrow.
Shen Weiyi: "Maybe because I’ve found happiness myself, so I hope those around me can also be happy!"
