Jing Zhichen did not agree immediately. Instead, he told Ye Tianxin, “Tianxin, you are about to participate in the college entrance exam. You can’t possibly cook every day, can you? Jing Zhichen was upset. Ye Tianxin felt bad that she doubted and assumed things about him.

Jing Zhichen looked at the school gates. They were quite run-down and looked really old.
When they entered the campus, he realized that the buildings badly needed repair. Some rooms even have wooden windows.
Green tendrils climbed the red brick walls. Yet, the school gave off a sense of familiarity.
The first thing Ye Tianxin had to do upon returning to school was naturally to report to the teacher in charge of her class.
“Mr. Chen, I’ve just returned from the capital.”

She sat down beside Di Shanshi and handed him a lucky charm she had bought from the imperial palace in the capital.
“Di Shanshi, this is for you.”
Li Xiaohui turned around and stretched out her hand, and chimed in, “What about me?”
“There’s one for you, too.”
Li Xiaohui was not just the only one to receive a gift. Ye Tianxin had bought something for the entire class. They were just little trinkets and did not cost much. It was just a kind gesture.
