Chunxue walked to the microphone at the center of the stage in a graceful manner, she smiled and said, “The nominees for the Best New Artist Award are…”
Chunxue gestured to the audience to look at the projection screen, which displayed the nominees for the award. Snippets of the movies that the artists’ acted in were played on the screen as each of their names was called.
“Zhong Yi as Hong Dou in the movie ‘Lovesick’… Ye Tianxin as Ying Tao in the movie ‘Red Cherry’… Su Wangyou as Xu Gan in the movie ‘Silence Is a Sin’… and finally, Zhu Tao as Er Wa in the movie ‘Peace Under a Wise Ruler’…”
Chunxue pursed her lips and reached out to the name list that was delivered to her by the hostess. She laughed playfully and said, “The winner of the Best New Artist award is now in my hands. Just like all of you, I’m awfully curious about whose name is in this envelope as well. I wonder how nervous our nominees are feeling right now… Okay, I won’t keep you guessing anymore. The Best New Artist Award of the year goes to… Su Wangyou as Xu Gan in the movie Silence Is a Sin.”
Behind her gracious smile, Chunxue was seething with rage deep down.
She was certain that Ye Tianxin was guaranteed to win the Best New Artist Award.
That was why she deliberately requested to be the one to present this award in particular. How could the final winner of the award be just some artist that people barely knew?
Chunxue criticized the committee in her mind over and over again, but she presented the trophy for the Best Artist Award to Su Wangyou as if nothing was wrong.

Chunxue thought that this was an awful year for her.

Su Wangyou backed away from Chunxue subsequently and walked towards the microphone. Little did she know that she was stepping on the hem of Chunxue’s gown with her high heels. Rip! A sound of fabric rustling could be heard…
The luxurious strapless gown worth 500 million that Chunxue was wearing got tugged off to the floor as Su Wangyou was walking away from her.
So, Su Wangyou walked away and unknowingly yanked off Chunxue’s gown with her high heels. That led to Chunxue having a wardrobe malfunction on live TV.
Chunxue’s mind went blank in an instant for having such an embarrassing accident for everyone to see.
The director-in-charge at the control room immediately replaced the live broadcast with another scene to accommodate the unexpected accident.
Su Wangyou turned pale in fear and stood there blankly, not knowing what to do.
Chunxue was beyond bewildered. She covered her body with her hands in shock, but it was obviously too late.
