An Junxi said seriously, "I’m not angry this time because I trust you, Yi Ke. But if I ever find out that you’ve done something to betray me, I will leave and you’ll never find me again."
Gu Yikun felt a tug at his heart. He held her tightly and said, "That won’t happen, Xi Xi, that day will never come."
An Junxi could feel Gu Yikun’s unease. He really didn’t want to lose her, at least not right now.
She pressed her face against his chest, hearing his steady and strong heartbeat, which made her feel very at ease.
She wrapped her arms around his waist.
What had just happened was an accident, but she couldn’t guarantee that Zhang Miaoyan didn’t have ill intentions. It seemed that what her mother-in-law said was right; she needed to keep a distance from Zhang Miaoyan.
Gu Yikun still had a meeting coming up. Secretary Wang connected the call to remind him, "President, the South Asia District leaders have all arrived in the meeting room."

She had heard from Aunt He that Gu Yikun used to spend most of his time at the office or in hotels, rarely going home. Compared to that, the President who now returned home on time every day seemed like a devoted husband.
An Junxi thought of this and smiled sweetly. She stepped out of the office, hearing a message notification from the phone on Gu Yikun’s desk.
He had two phones, one for work and one for personal use. An Junxi picked up the phone; it was a message from Zha Zhuoxin.
The phone seemed a bit uncooperative, but An Junxi still managed to read it.
"President, the camera has been delivered."
Camera? Was it meant for her?
An Junxi put down the phone and walked out. Secretary Wang was sitting outside.
Seeing Miss An come out, Secretary Wang stood up and asked, "Miss An, do you need anything?"
"Is Assistant Cha here?"
"Assistant Cha just came back."
"Please ask him to come here.".
"Sure," Secretary Wang asked, "would you like something to drink, Miss An?"
Zha Zhuoxin came to the office quickly after hearing that Miss An was looking for him. "Mrs. Gu."
An Junxi held Gu Yikun’s phone and asked, "What camera were you talking about?"
Zha Zhuoxin didn’t hide anything, "The President had me buy it at an auction to give it to you. Do you like the necklace he bought last time, Mrs. Gu?"
An Junxi pointed to the necklace on her neck, "You mean this one?"
Zha Zhuoxin shook his head, "No, the Princess Windsor ruby necklace. Haven’t you received it yet?" He muttered quietly, "It’s been a while already."
An Junxi was a bit puzzled, "Has the President bought you a lot of things?"
"Quite a few. They’re all in the lounge. Would you like to take a look, Madam?"
"He hasn’t mentioned it to me."
Zha Zhuoxin said, "It’s not surprising. As I said, men shouldn’t give women too many gifts at once. Otherwise, suspicious women might think they’re guilty of something."
An Junxi threatened with a smile, "Who are you calling suspicious?"
Zha Zhuoxin almost bit his tongue, quickly smiling apologetically, "I mean most women. You, Mrs. Gu, are broad-minded and certainly not included."
An Junxi nodded, satisfied with his explanation.
Zha Zhuoxin then asked, "About the camera..."
"Keep it with you. Don’t tell the President I know." She decided to pretend not to know and wait for his surprise.
Zha Zhuoxin gave her a thumbs-up, "Mrs. Gu, you really know how to keep a calm demeanor."
An Junxi told him to get back to work. She walked back to the lounge, found several cabinets, and finally found a cabinet full of gift boxes at the bottom of the wardrobe. Each one was a limited edition item.
An Junxi’s heart ached a bit, feeling like it was an entire wardrobe full of treasures.
I can’t let this continue. I need to have a serious talk with my husband about this spending.
She restored everything to its original place, noticing a juicer and fresh oranges in the fridge. She had a sudden urge to make some juice.
By the time Yi Ke finished his meeting, there would be fresh orange juice for him.
An Junxi brought the ingredients to the kitchen area for washing and finally managed to make a glass of juice. She tasted it first but found it a bit bland.
She wanted to find some ice sugar in the cabinet, but as she turned around, she accidentally knocked over the glass. With a loud crash, most of the juice spilled onto her dress.
An Junxi sighed and fetched cleaning tools to pick up the broken glass.
Feeling sticky and uncomfortable, An Junxi decided to take a shower in the bathroom. Since there were no clothes for her there, she found one of Gu Yikun’s white shirts to wear.
Given Gu Yikun’s height of 1.83 meters, his shirt could act as a long dress on her. The shirt carried his familiar light tobacco scent, giving An Junxi an inexplicable sense of happiness.
It seemed like the first time she wore Gu Yikun’s clothes. To her, wearing her partner’s shirt felt especially intimate and comforting.
She looked at herself in the mirror and saw a woman with twinkling eyes and a charming smile, suddenly feeling quite beautiful.
After daydreaming for a moment, she remembered to wash her dress; otherwise, the juice stain would set.
She didn’t have many clothes. Once, after coming back from work, she found all her wardrobe replaced. Gu Kuangyuan had said, "I can’t stand seeing a Gu Family woman dressed plainly. These are new designs from my company. You can wear a different one every day without repeating. Remember to wear them."
Gu Kuangyuan was a genius when it came to fashion design. Every piece she picked for An Junxi suited her taste perfectly, so An Junxi happily accepted her aunt’s generosity.
An Junxi, being considerate, made her aunt’s favorite coffee for several days in a row as a thank you. "Thank you, aunt, for the clothes. They are really beautiful."
Even the picky Gu Kuangyuan told Gu Yikun, "Your wife is alright."
When Gu Yikun relayed those words to An Junxi, she was genuinely touched. Actually, her aunt was very nice, though she didn’t seem to get along with her mother-in-law, often having prickly conversations.
An Junxi didn’t want to comment on the elder’s issues. She only knew that each of her clothes was very expensive, and many people couldn’t even get a custom piece from her aunt. If she ruined this dress with juice, it would be a waste of her aunt’s efforts.
An Junxi used vinegar and laundry detergent. Luckily, the juice didn’t leave a stain on her dress.
She dried the dress and wanted to hang it out on the balcony.
Unable to reach due to her height and with no drying rod in sight, An Junxi stood on tiptoe, trying for a while before giving up, deciding to look for a stool.
As she turned around, she bumped into a solid chest.
