The entire area was filled with equipment and cables, with the Sword Dragon Hamikas Avatar infiltrating from the top vent, its crimson eyes fixed on the surrounding devices as it continuously moved inward.

Inside the Peak of the Stars Arena·Underground Control Room.

One by one, the technicians focused on the virtual screens in front of them.

The virtual screens displayed numerous grid surveillance images, including those of the underground equipment zone.

Each technician was responsible for monitoring different areas.

However, the surveillance of the underground equipment was completely normal; nothing unusual had been detected from start to finish.

—————

In the vastness of starry space.

Su Ming led his group in a desperate charge toward Planet Tyboken, as relentless Chilami swarmed at them, the group waving their Spiral Long Spears, knocking the charging Chilami flying with each thrust.

Of course, there were failed attacks, with Chilami pouncing directly onto them, entangling them and sending them veering off course.

Shouts filled the communication channel constantly.

“Kot!”

“Don’t rescue me, don’t stop, accelerate into the atmosphere!”

Su Ming shouted through the communication channel at that moment.

It wasn’t that Su Ming was heartlessly cruel; rather, a large number of Chilami were bearing down from behind, and any delay would mean certain death.

“Understood!”

Teeth clenched, the group responded, helpless to do anything but watch as their comrades fell one after another.

Fortunately for them, Planet Tyboken was getting closer and closer.

Su Ming suddenly accelerated, plunging with his group into the atmosphere, the mecha shaking violently, its surface starting to turn red.

Warnings kept popping up on the control screen.

“Warning: Entering the atmosphere too fast, decelerate!”

“Warning: Temperature rising, life support device power increasing.”

In an instant, the cockpit’s temperature soared past 40 degrees, and beads of sweat formed on Su Ming’s forehead, but he had no intention of slowing down.

The following Chilami also plummeted into the atmosphere, showing no sign of relenting their pursuit of Su Ming and the others.

Soon after, one Second Generation Mecha·Raider after another burst through the clouds, with the desolate gray land devoid of life suddenly coming into view.

Although Planet Tyboken was habitable, the conditions were harsher than those of Earth Flame Star; its main revenues came from transit cargo and supplies.

Under normal circumstances, Su Ming would surely be keen to admire this planet, but he was in no mood to do so now, as one Chilami after another broke through the cloud cover in pursuit.

“Su Ming, they’re catching up!”

Rhein shouted in alarm and anger.

Su Ming forced himself to remain calm; he scanned the surface and immediately spotted a large rift valley to the right front, and decisively gave the order.

“Everyone follow me, target the large rift valley to our right front!”

“Understood!”

Without a second thought, Rhein and the others acknowledged the command.

Su Ming immediately took the lead, turning toward the vast rift valley below.

The Chilami also changed course, relentlessly chasing after Su Ming and his group.

“Su Ming, they’ve caught up.”

Lin Chuyu alerted Su Ming.

“Never mind, get into the canyon first.”

Su Ming said decisively, accelerating into a dive.

Lin Chuyu and the others followed suit.

In the blink of an eye, they all plunged into the interior of the Great Rift Valley.

The Great Rift Valley was incredibly deep, and Su Ming led his group continuously flying downwards, turning along the rift trying to shake off the pursuing Chilami.

But those Chilami clung like persistent plasters; no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t be shaken off, and they kept shooting beams at Su Ming and his group from behind.

“Squad leader, these bastards are doggedly chasing us; what should we do?” Rhein asked urgently, as they had now been chased to a dead end.

Su Ming’s expression changed continuously as he flew at high speed, looking at the scanning device, monitoring the Chilami tailing them, while also observing the surrounding terrain.

He noticed that the canyon path was becoming narrower and narrower; it looked like they were about to reach the end, but going up would most likely expose them again.

Just as Su Ming was troubled, he suddenly saw on the scan that there seemed to be a break in the pursuing Chilami, so he made a decisive choice.

“Everyone, go down!”

Suddenly, Su Ming took the lead in ending the flight, activating the Jet Wings for reverse thrust and forcefully descended, finally slamming onto the ground with force.

Lin Chuyu and the others also followed Su Ming’s command and landed one after another.

Su Ming abruptly lifted his head, looked at the Chilami that had followed them down, and shouted commandingly over the comms channel.

“Kill!”

“Yes!”

Everyone responded with an icy determination.

Su Ming, leading the charge, leapt into the air, confronting one of the Chilami that had pursued them and pierced it with a spear.

Crack!

The Chilami didn’t have time to react before it was skewered and killed by the spear.

Lin Chuyu and the others also jumped up and charged at the other Chilami, beginning a chaotic battle.

Zhang Yi and the others switched to their beam guns, standing at the bottom of the rift, shooting at the descending Chilami.

Whiz, whiz!

One after another, Chilami were hit and fell to the bottom of the rift.

With more and more Chilami falling, some of the Chilami corpses began to wriggle together, starting to merge as their biological activity increased.

However, before they could fully revive, Su Ming, controlling his mecha, landed down.

His feet directly crushed their cellular bodies to pieces.

Immediately after, Su Ming swung his long spear, thrusting it into a struggling Chilami that hadn’t died, then he maneuvered his mecha to charge at other Chilami.

About ten minutes later, after a fierce battle, all the Chilami that had followed them down were finally eliminated.

“We’ve finally dealt with them all.”

Rhein said, out of breath.

However, Su Ming did not let his guard down but spoke instead.

“Everyone, check your scanning devices to see if there are any more Chilami coming after us.”

“None detected!”

“No, not on mine either!”

Everyone responded in turn.

Hearing this, Su Ming finally breathed a sigh of relief, and his tense nerves relaxed a bit as he said.

“Then for the moment, we should be safe.”

“Thank goodness, we’re finally saved.”

Yu Wei exhaled a long sigh of relief.

Su Ming glanced over the people present, doing a quick count.

There were eighteen people in total, which meant that the others were either dead or scattered.

Among these eighteen, four were from the inner school, namely Lin Chuyu, An Ruoxue, Beikaen, and Ajika.

Out of Qin Feng’s class of twenty, only five were left alive; Su Ming’s group had only nine survivors remaining.

The losses were extremely heavy.

After Su Ming had finished counting, he opened the medical kit, took out a nutrition bar and bit into it, then spoke to the others while drinking.

“Everyone, have a nutrition bar to replenish your strength.”

“Okay.”

The others responded wearily, opening their medical kits one by one and taking out nutrition bars to restore their strength.

Long hours of intense combat had left them mentally and physically exhausted.

For a time, the whole communication channel was very quiet, everyone quietly recuperating, creating an atmosphere that was exceedingly solemn.
