“The fortress’s large Curvature Interference Device has been tampered with.”
Aide-de-camp Casang said anxiously.
“Who would dare such a thing?
It’s been over three hundred years since anyone has tried.”
Lord Noveis asked, his voice unhurried.
“I’m not sure, but I’ll connect you to the central control room right away, where you can ask General Bertler.”
Casang picked up the tablet and after a flurry of activity on the screen, projected a virtual interface.
Inside the virtual interface, a muscular man with a fierceness in his eyes and features sharp as a knife appeared.
With a grave expression, he reported to Lord Noveis,
“Lord Noveis, the situation is very bad!
We’ve detected the Federation’s Starshine Fortress!”
“Starshine Fortress?
Are you sure it’s Starshine Fortress?”
“One hundred percent sure!”
“Oh, that’s interesting.”
Lord Noveis said hoarsely upon hearing General Bertler’s reply.
“Lord, what shall we do now?
The Federation’s Starshine Fortress is on its way here.”
General Bertler asked anxiously.
“Put me through to Commander Hodiska.”
“Yes!”
General Bertler quickly responded.

Commander Hodiska sat upon his throne, Cersi standing respectfully to one side, while Tedra stood in front of Hodiska, praising him emphatically,
“Commander Hodiska, you are truly formidable, barely lifting a finger, and those Federation scoundrels are scampering away in retreat.”
“Hmph, flattery is useless here, Tedra.
You lost the Hamms Planet Fortress, consider how you will explain this to the Emperor.”
Commander Hodiska showed no appreciation for Tedra’s flattery.
Hearing Hodiska’s words, Tedra’s expression stiffened.

“Commander.”
Lord Noveis’s hoarse voice spoke up.
“Noveis, what’s going on?”
Commander Hodiska’s face darkened as he looked at Noveis and asked.
“The Federation’s Starshine Fortress is heading straight for my defense line.”
Lord Noveis spoke calmly.
“What did you say?
The Federation’s Starshine Fortress is at your defense line?”
Commander Hodiska slapped the armrest in fury and stood up.
“That’s right.”
Lord Noveis replied hoarsely.
“No way, she’s actually coming?
Could what she said be true?”
Tedra was completely baffled.
“You fool, you’ve been duped!”
Commander Hodiska suddenly realized what had happened and cursed Tedra.
It was obvious that from the beginning, the enemy’s target was the Imperial defense line.
Taking down the Siloke Star Sea and allowing Tedra to return with the message was all part of a systematic trap.
It was all to weaken the forces within the defense line.

Commander Hodiska turned to Tedra, gnashing his teeth as he questioned,
“Tedra, tell me truthfully, who is the enemy commander?”
“It’s a woman with pale purple hair and a silver metallic mask.
I don’t recognize her, sir, and she’s not found in any of the Empire’s databases.”
Tedra hastily explained.
“Are you sure?”
“I swear, I’m not lying.”
“This is troublesome; the unknowns are always the most difficult!”
Commander Hodiska frowned deeper upon hearing Tedra’s words.
“Lord, what do we do now?”
Cersi asked with a tense expression.
“Immediately gather the troops!”
Commander Hodiska turned and ordered Cersi.
“Yes!”
Cersi responded solemnly.
