Qi Ran turned to look at her and nodded: "There’s an urgent case. I’ll try to come back early tonight."

The local customs here didn’t include celebrating the Spring Festival, so work goes on as usual.
After waving goodbye to her, Su Wanxin had breakfast and then checked her return flight tickets.
In two more days, she too would have to return to Hua Country to work. Fu Shihan had mentioned wanting to return with her; she wondered if his plans had changed.
Come to think of it, was he planning to flatter Qi Ran today? With the senior lawyer so busy, what if he ended up flattering the horse’s hooves instead?

Fu Shihan’s primary purpose for coming to Empire was to bring gifts.
