I’m not sure if Fu Shihan knows that person or not, and what his reaction would be if he found out about today’s incident.
Su Wanxin turned around, closed her eyes, snuggled into his embrace, and slept a bit more. When she woke up again, it was because he had roused her.
He seemed quite interested in playing with her hair, lightly brushing past her ear. That ticklish sensation slowly woke Su Wanxin, who unconsciously whimpered in discontent.
She opened her eyes, met his gaze, and after a brief pause, pulled the blanket over her face and then pushed him away.
"Don’t sleep anymore, or you won’t be able to at night." Fu Shihan pulled away the blanket, looked down at her and said, "I’ve ordered takeout, it will be here soon, we can eat in the room."
"When did you get here?" Su Wanxin asked softly.
"A bit more than an hour ago, Su Yao said you might have caught a cold."
As Fu Shihan spoke, he checked her forehead temperature, which was indeed a bit high.
"I brought you some medicine, eat your meal, take the medicine, and then sleep again."
"I still need to take Yangyang to the night skating session tonight." Su Wanxin shook her head in refusal, but Fu Shihan also refused.
"Let Lu Ci take him to play, we can sleep here."
He didn’t leave her any room for rebuttal, sat her up while holding her, went out to get her a cup of hot water, and watched her finish drinking it.
Su Wanxin went down to the living room, Su Yao was nowhere to be seen by then, so she sat bored in a corner of the sofa, watching TV and texting her. Soon enough, she got an answer.
Su Yao said she had taken Yangyang out to play and would come back later, telling her not to worry.
"Yaoyao said she’s with Yangyang." Su Wanxin looked up at Fu Shihan to report the situation. "They’re having dinner outside and I don’t know when they’ll be back."
"Lu Ci should be there too." Fu Shihan nodded, not surprised. "I heard you went to Lin Yifan’s place to pass the time this afternoon?"
His mention of the afternoon events dulled Su Wanxin’s expression. She nodded and replied, "I went around for a bit, gained some experience and then came back."
Fu Shihan’s eyes darkened slightly, a thought crossed his mind, but he did not pursue it further.
The takeout arrived within half an hour, surprisingly, he had ordered hotpot.
"Don’t like it?" Fu Shihan noted her expression and asked, and after seeing her shake her head, he said, "Then come eat, I have something to ask you afterwards."
"What’s it about? Let’s talk while we eat."
"After eating."
Su Wanxin: "..."
He didn’t seem like the type to keep people in suspense, so this made it seem like a very serious matter.
Su Wanxin covertly observed his expression, trying to guess what he really wanted to talk to her about. If it were about work, he wouldn’t be so mysterious. So...
It must be about their relationship, or possibly something to do with his family.
He must be worried that telling her now might affect her appetite, so he simply decided to wait until after eating.
Fu Shihan’s expression was the same as usual, inscrutable, which actually irked Su Wanxin a bit. It made it seem as if she couldn’t keep a secret when facing him.
She lowered her head and fell silent, quietly eating. He helped serve her food, but she didn’t say thank you, just kept eating until she was a little full, then put down her chopsticks to watch TV.
Her emotions were quite apparent, indicating she was upset. Fu Shihan saw it, but couldn’t understand why she was angry.
He hadn’t provoked her, and the takeout was to her taste, so what was she upset about?
