Wanxin smiled lightly in response, pulling Su Yao back to the table to sit down.
She acted calm and indifferent, as if she had never received that phone call at all. This left Su Yao temporarily at a loss on how to continue probing the matter, and Lu Ci had even less ground to pry further.
After finishing their meal, Wanxin bid them farewell and walked back to her office.

As for Wanxin, since she was seven years old and started following Fu Shihan around, becoming his little tag-along, people like Lu Ci have grown increasingly familiar with her.
Having known Wanxin for over a decade, to him, she is like a sister. He wishes nothing but the best for her.
