Su Wanxin was crying pitifully, Su Yao really couldn’t stand to watch it any longer, so she gently woke her up.
Su Wanxin slowly opened her eyes, her gaze hazy with tears as she looked at the person before her, her emotions still not detached from the dream.
She just stared blankly at Su Yao for a while, then buried her head in her chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
"What’s wrong?" Su Yao’s heart was in turmoil from her crying, as she patted her back and comforted her: "There, there, no more crying, what did you dream about? Dreams are the opposite of reality, don’t be scared!"
"Don’t abandon me."
Su Yao’s body stiffened, she declared: "What nonsense are you talking about? Why would I abandon you? Did you dream that I was arguing with you? Why would I argue with you? I’m a lawyer and you can’t win against me."
Su Wanxin remained silent, as if conceding. Su Yao gently coaxed her for a long time, finally managing to lull her back to sleep and feeling a bit of pride as an older sister.

At four in the morning, Fu Shihan returned home reeking of alcohol.
He took a quick shower and after coming out, he saw the clothes he had carelessly thrown aside. He walked over to take out the contents of the pockets, finding the ring he had recently taken back from Su Wanxin.
He stared at it for a while, then threw it into the trash bin.
Fu Shihan was so angry that day he felt like his head would explode. He truly decided to start acting like a proper human being and stop doing pathetic things.
If it’s over, it’s over. Who couldn’t live without whom? He’s certainly not lacking women; he didn’t believe he would truly be hung up over Su Wanxin.
He closed his eyes but couldn’t fall asleep. The more he thought about it, the more he felt like he was played by a heartless woman.
He never thought he would be played by a woman one day, just the thought of it was laughable.
Fu Shihan tossed and turned, sitting up again. Then as he looked up, he saw the photos on the wall.
He glanced at them twice, then immediately got out of bed to tear the photos down, recalling the words he once told himself about finding her to treat her well.
"What a fucking joke."
Fu Shihan couldn’t help but curse under his breath.
Damn.
He would never treat Su Wanxin well again!
Relying on her pretty face to play with people, what a heartless woman!
The last time he asked for the ring, she wept, insisting it was hers once given, and now look how eagerly she gave it up!
They had been incompatible before, and it wasn’t just a facade, was it? How could there be such an oblivious woman like her?
Fu Shihan was so angry he wanted to hit somebody, but had no one around; he had no choice but to toss and turn in bed until dawn, getting no sleep at all.
In the morning when he left the house, Fu Shihan just happened to bump right into the neighbor.
They exchanged glances, then simultaneously looked away and left in their cars.
Seeing someone he didn’t want to see first thing in the morning, Fu Shihan’s mood was exceptionally foul. He drove to the company, where his secretary came to inform him about the day’s main agenda.
"Tonight at five o’clock, the Su Group’s..."
"Cancel it," Fu Shihan interrupted before she could finish her sentence, his voice cold as he asked, "Who arranged this?"
The secretary: "President Fu, you arranged it yourself..."
"Did I hit my head on the airplane, and you hit yours too?" Fu Shihan glared at her, "Don’t you know Su Wanxin and I are enemies?"
The secretary quickly nodded, crossed out the schedule, and said, "Got it, President Fu. All future schedules related to Su Family will be cancelled."
"Get out."
Fu Shihan’s temper was explosive all day at work, confronting anyone he met, without exception. In the evening, he arranged to meet Lu Ci and a few other fair-weather friends for drinks, but his mood still hadn’t improved.
