She walked over to take a seat, took out her phone, set it to silent, and placed it on the table. Not long after, Fu Shihan came and sat down as well.
His presence immediately made Su Wanxin’s heart sink. Her lips tightly pursed, her hands fidgeting with the pen on the table, her mind elsewhere.
He couldn’t guess that she was pregnant, and probably had long forgotten about that night when they didn’t use protection.

"What are you sighing about, unhappy to see me?" Fu Shihan heard her sigh and spoke indifferently. "The organizers arranged the seats, I had no choice."
"Uh-huh, I understand, President Fu has it tough."
Su Wanxin responded politely and didn’t deny that her mood was affected by seeing him.
Fu Shihan glanced at her, wanting to ask where she had been these past two days, but ultimately held back.

This woman had put on perfume again today; Fu Shihan smelled the faint fragrance and frowned in silence.
The conference was divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning was mostly for political leaders to speak and for journalists to ask questions. The afternoon was reserved for their participation.
After getting through the long morning hours, lunch was served at the hotel.
The banquet hall was filled with buffet choices, yet Su Wanxin had a hard time finding anything she wanted to eat. Hunger worsened her mood.

So when he heard her say that, it inevitably felt like an adult listening to a child speak.
Lu Ci knew she was just being polite and genuinely didn’t want to drink. He didn’t insist any further.
Yet someone was immature, picking for conversation, and sarcastically remarked, "President Su has a big temper, she never gives face to anyone, don’t delay her meal, let’s go."
Su Wanxin heard this, feeling a wave of anger, turned her head to look at him, and sneered, "Does President Fu mean to say that drinking is giving you face?"
