Su Wanxin shook off his hand and gathered her coat around her.
"Can’t you just be a quiet ex-boyfriend? I don’t meddle in your affairs, so don’t come meddling in mine."
"So you mean you won’t lower your head and admit your mistake, is that it?" Fu Shihan’s eyes were a bit red. "Even if we broke up and I go out and sweet-talk other women, you won’t regret it?"
"Since we broke up, I have no right to stop you from seeing someone else."
"Then I’ll go find another woman right now, and I’ll sleep with her tonight!"
"So are you telling me this because you want me to help you book a room?" Su Wanxin sighed heavily and asked him, "Alright, which hotel do you like? Tell me."
Fu Shihan was silent, just furrowing his brows as he looked at her.
Su Wanxin wasn’t wearing much and really felt cold, so she turned and opened the car door, getting inside.
Fu Shihan stood outside the car, hesitating for a moment, then quickly got into the passenger seat, buckled his seatbelt, and said, "Take me home."
"Drive yourself home."
"I’ve been drinking."
"I also..."
"I saw that you didn’t drink." Fu Shihan blandly cut off her lie, closed his eyes, and fell silent.
Su Wanxin turned her head and looked at him for a long time, then helplessly smirked and started the car, driving toward his house.
During the drive that took dozens of minutes, not a word was exchanged between the two. When the car arrived at the destination, Fu Shihan slowly opened his eyes and unbuckled his seatbelt.
He looked at the pitch-black villa outside, noting that it had been many days since he’d seen lights on in that house.
He slowly withdrew his gaze and fixed it on Su Wanxin’s face, speaking in a deep voice, "I threw all your photos away."
Su Wanxin: "..."
"I’m going to throw away everything related to you, forget you thoroughly and completely."
Su Wanxin: "Good."
"Don’t regret it, don’t come crying back to me."
"I won’t." Su Wanxin pursed her lips and smiled, shaking her head. "I definitely won’t."
Fu Shihan’s breathing was a bit heavy. He was quiet for a while, then twisted his body to get out of the car, slamming the car door with a loud bang.
Su Wanxin sat in the car, her body shuddering as the car door slammed shut. Only after he entered the house did she drive off.
Fu Shihan slammed the door as he entered the house and made a phone call to Lin Rui. Once the call connected, he asked, "Where is she?"
"Still keeping an eye on her, she’s gone home."
"Keep a close watch."
"Don’t worry, Brother Han, I won’t lose her!"
Fu Shihan hung up the phone, threw his cellphone onto the table, pulled off his necktie, and went upstairs to shower.
The cold water poured down from above, making him incredibly sober.
Bullshit, it’s all fucking bullshit.
No matter how much he threw away, he couldn’t fucking throw her out of his heart.
She could go on dates and have meals with other men after breaking up, but he couldn’t!
How could he get her to lower her head? Why wouldn’t she concede? He could forgive her if she just admitted her mistake.
But why wouldn’t she say it?
After showering, Fu Shihan went downstairs and collapsed onto the sofa, deep in thought for a long time before he picked up his phone and went back upstairs.
When he turned on the bedside lamp, he saw two rings on the table. He stared blankly for a while, then threw them into the drawer, not wanting to take another glance.
He was willing to give them to her, wasn’t it agreed these were her things? Not returning them to him?
Liar. Su Wanxin was a liar, a professional one.
Fu Shihan lay in bed, pulled the blanket over his face, and spent the night seething in anger.
He hadn’t slept all night, and even when it was time to get up, wash up, and go to the company, he still lay motionless in bed.
Going to that goddamn job, when the girlfriend’s gone, who’s he earning money for?
Forget it! He’s ditching work today!
