Old Mrs. Hawthorne finally came to her senses. She had inadvertently spoken her mind and felt a bit embarrassed. She coughed and said, "What I meant was, it’s so late, why haven’t you gone to rest? No matter how busy work is, it’s not more important than health."
Elias Hawthorne stepped over and said blandly, "Someone with ill intentions entered my room, how can I rest?"

Old Mrs. Hawthorne couldn’t help but think of how happy Bobby and Casper looked when playing together earlier, chattering away, and how it brought life and vitality to the whole family.
If there was another little girl, it would be even more lively and feel more like a real family.

"Old Madam, let’s go rest too," Aunt Rivers suggested hesitantly, seeing that the eldest young master’s face was getting uglier by the minute.

Aunt Rivers, with a start, immediately pushed Raina into the room and locked the door. Her swift movements showed this wasn’t her first time doing such a thing.
"Old Madam, will the eldest young master be angry if we do this?"
"I’m doing this with the best intentions, for the good of their marriage. Why should he be angry? And even if he is, wouldn’t he have to hold it in? I am his rightful grandmother after all," Old Mrs. Hawthorne said, exuding a towering presence. Then she instructed Aunt Rivers, "Go pack up, tomorrow we head to the resort for a few days of fun."
Aunt Rivers instantly understood, "Don’t worry, Old Madam, I guarantee everything will be arranged perfectly."
Raina was suddenly pushed by Aunt Rivers and stumbled against Elias Hawthorne’s body.
"Sorry, I didn’t mean to."
Elias looked down at her, coldly saying, "If you didn’t hold on so tightly, it would be more believable."
Raina could only pull back her paws awkwardly, "Well, I kind of forgot."
Elias gave a cold snort and turned back to his room.
Elias’s room was on the second floor, actually jumping out the window wasn’t a big deal for her.
However, seeing the watchful Elias, she’d better forget it. This man was too keen, any slight abnormality would arouse his suspicion.
After a whole tumultuous day, and it wasn’t early anymore, Raina was a little sleepy. She glanced at Elias Hawthorne leaning against the headboard, working on his laptop, hesitated, and took a step towards the bed, then a pillow came flying through the air, landing in her arms.
Raina had originally thought to do so, but being treated by Elias, she decided to change her mind: "No, either you sleep on the sofa, or we sleep together." With that, she placed the pillow back on the bed and pulled the quilt over herself, "Good night, President Hawthorne."
Elias watched Raina for a long moment without kicking her off the bed.
Seeing Elias not budge, Raina’s tense body gradually relaxed, and after a time, she slowly drifted off to sleep.
By the time Elias finished his work, she was already deep in dreamland.
Elias’s brows furrowed into a knot. After a moment of silence, he lifted the covers and lay down on the other side.
The master bedroom’s bed was big, with one person on each side, there was enough space left in the middle to fit two more people.
