"Don’t come any closer!"
Claire Lowell saw Raina North kick the last man against a tree and start walking toward her, and she panicked.
She adopted a defensive stance, but inside, she was in complete disarray.
Since she never liked martial arts or the hardships and sweat it entailed, she utterly refused to learn it, even though her father had arranged the best instructor for her, she wouldn’t go.
Eventually, her father had no choice but to give up, which is why her skills couldn’t even rival the average person, while this woman was so formidable.
Claire glared at Raina with a warning, "Don’t come any closer!"
"Didn’t Miss Lowell want to have a talk with me? Why are you telling me not to come closer? What if you’re upset if I don’t come over?" Raina smiled, speaking softly, but her tone was icy, and there was no hint of amusement in her eyes.
She was really angry.
Previously, though The Eldest Miss Lowell was quite a troublemaker, Raina didn’t want to engage too deeply with her.
After all, her father had once saved Elias Hawthorne’s life, and she was indeed infatuated with Elias.
Moreover, her infatuation, to some extent, had some benefits for Elias Hawthorne’s situation at the time, even though Elias didn’t need it.
Even so, Raina was willing to bear in mind Claire’s kindness.
Because she fully understood how rare genuine affection was to people trapped in desperate situations, she was willing to be more tolerant of Claire for Elias.
But that didn’t mean she could accept Claire doing something so venomous.
She actually used money to bribe those men to strip her!
You know, if it were an ordinary girl, she would have been ruined today!
"Not today! I won’t talk today!" Claire hastily waved her hand, saying, "Let’s talk another day. I’ll definitely host you well then, okay?"
As she said this, her eyes already had a pleading look.
Hoping Raina could be lenient and spare her.
"That won’t do." Raina remained unmoved, smiling faintly as she said, "Miss Lowell, you’ve come all the way here today, how could I not let you leave satisfied? Don’t you think so?"

To Claire, that sound felt like it was echoing in her heart, amplifying her fear exponentially.
"Ah! Don’t come any closer!" Claire screamed in terror, then pulled out a gun from her handbag and fired indiscriminately, pulling the trigger wildly.
Raina’s body jerked to one side, dodging the incoming bullets.
But others weren’t so lucky, and a bullet hit a bystander with a loud bang.
Blood splattered, and with a thud, the bystander fell to the ground.
And the gunshot caused people in the night market to scream, making everyone panic and start to shove recklessly.
Screams, cries, and shouts erupted suddenly, with countless people beginning to push and run.
The night market was already in chaos.
Raina’s expression changed, and disregarding her safety, she rushed forward, forcefully grabbing Claire’s wrist, and snatched the gun while shouting angrily, "What the hell are you doing! How could you fire a gun in the night market!"
Claire hadn’t expected that firing just one shot would cause such a huge commotion, and she was momentarily stunned, unsure of how to react.
The next second, she screamed hysterically, "You forced me, you forced me! You want to harm me! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have shot! So it’s all your fault!"
