He worked during the day, and after getting off work, reviewed for a few hours. He was even supervised by his wife during his revision, being stopped from sneaking any treats, with her saying that he made too many mistakes and should focus on studying, not other things.
He could only look at the treats, not eat them.
"Is it just that I didn’t sleep well?"
Zhao Tianhe looked Zhao Tianlei up and down, then looked at him with a suggestive expression, "Sister-in-law won’t let you sleep?"

Many families were just gnawing on dry food.
During the wheat harvest, everyone wanted to get their grain in as soon as possible.
Most families prepared some kind of dry food to eat at mealtime.
It would be strange indeed if Da Shu’s mother went over and Laosan’s Wife actually invited them over for meat.
Laosan must have made quite a bit of money when he went out last year; otherwise, he wouldn’t have bought such a nice coat for Laosan’s Wife.
And now they were buying meat in town specifically to eat.
Sister-in-law Zhao wasn’t far away and saw Laosan’s Wife carrying the meat over as well.
Eating cold, hard pancakes and drinking water just couldn’t compare with meat.
Yun Xiaoxiao nodded, "Da Bao and Xiao Bao are at home waiting for me; you eat."
Seeing such a strong sun, the wife came to deliver food.
"Then you hurry back. When Da Bao comes to pick up wheat ears, I’ll have him take the bowls and chopsticks back."
Yun Xiaoxiao wanted to say there was no need.
Zhao Tianlei shook his head, "I’m not hot, but you don’t often work the fields, you shouldn’t stay out in the sun for long; hurry back."
Mrs. Zhao and Captain Zhao, who were eating meals nearby, watched as Laosan and his wife, who had been married for so many years, were still so affectionate with each other.
"Then I’ll go back and boil some mung bean soup to bring to you later." Yun Xiaoxiao hadn’t made mung bean soup before.
May could still be quite hot.
"We need to hurry and get the wheat in."
Yun Xiaoxiao wasn’t being difficult; after informing Mrs. Zhao and Captain Zhao, she went back with her hat.

This meal of rice and Braised Pork Belly was quite substantial.
Harvesting wheat was indeed a tough job.
