“Thank you! I definitely won’t let Captain Zheng down,” Sheng Ning said as she sat down next to Lu Xiaoshuang with her lunchbox.
Breakfast time was already short, and many people had finished eating while they bickered. With this in mind, she bowed her head to eat, ignoring the gaze of everyone around her.
After finishing her meal, Chen Huaying came over with a bun stuffed in her mouth. By this time, members of the Song and Dance Troupe had dispersed, leaving only a few scattered people to clean the tables and wash the dishes.

“Let them hate! Even if I try to keep a low profile, others will still take a dislike to you, just as Zhao Yan takes a dislike to you. You should get up earlier in the future, and not dawdle around,” Sheng Ning had noticed that Chen Huaying, whom she had been living with for just a few days, had a severe problem with getting out of bed. She was late for training, late for morning runs, and late for meals.
“Keep coming late , and there will be no buns left for you, only pot washing water to drink.”
Chen Huaying let her words go in one ear and out the other, not paying any attention. “Do you know why Zheng Meilin is targeting you?”

“How boring!” Sheng Ning gave her a disdainful glance and pushed open the door to Practice Room No.1.

Today was the first official appearance of all participants in the Hope Field Musical. Practice Room No.1 was the largest in terms of area, with a spacious stage and the most complete equipment.
Even in the southeast corner of the stage, there was a piano; Liu Yilan was sitting in front of it, trying out the keys.
Others were practicing basic dance steps on the wide space beneath the stage. Yang Xiaoman was on stage, looking at the score with focused attention. Sunlight poured in through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, casting golden glows on her face.

This had almost become her most persistent dream, about dance, about dedication to the stage.
“What are you standing there for looking so foolish?” Chen Huaying pushed her from behind and said with disdain, “You’re smiling like an idiot.”
“Everybody, gather up,” Qiu Bai came in with four teachers from the Song and Dance Troupe, clapped her hands, and everyone automatically formed into two lines.
The veterans in one line, the newbies in another.
Dressed in a well-fitted, stylish cashmere coat, the pure white color made Qiu Bai look especially trendy and pretty.
Truly, she stood out from the other veteran female teachers of the troupe; it was clear she had been abroad.
“At ease!” Qiu Bai raised her hand to signal and scanned everyone’s face before clearing her throat and saying, “You have all been selected as outstanding literary and art workers, dancers! Comrades with solid overall quality. I don’t want anyone forming cliques or small groups in my team. Anyone who dares to do so can just roll out of Hope Field, out of the General Union, out of the Song and Dance Troupe.”
