Su Yun abruptly put down the paintbrush in her hand and stood up to call Su Hai on the phone.
Poor Su Hai had just arrived at the office when her call came, and he had no choice but to rush over.
As he entered the house, Su Hai changed his shoes and scanned the empty home with a frown, asking, “Where’s Meng Xingzhi?”

Even though he was now his brother-in-law and the President, he still addressed him by name.
“The organization department has a meeting to attend,” said Su Yun, her complexion a bit pale, as she stood up to pour a glass of water for Su Hai, gesturing for him to sit down on the sofa.
“What’s the big emergency that you had to call me over?” He was very busy and had no time to indulge her in any childish games.
Under the stress, Su Yun drank more than half of the cool boiled water, her face troubled, stumbling over her words and not daring to speak.
Her having a child in the countryside was a secret kept not only from Meng Xingzhi but also from the entire Su Family.
Decades had passed, how was she supposed to explain it now?
If it wasn’t for the fact that Meng Xingzhi might have discovered the truth, she intended to keep it to herself for a lifetime.
Out of everyone in the Su Family, only her younger brother would be unconditionally supportive of her at any time, and he was the most capable of helping her.
Besides Su Hai, she didn’t know whom else she could trust.
“What exactly happened?” Su Hai’s expression suddenly became severe. His sister had led a smooth-sailing life for many years as the President’s wife with a strong personality. If it wasn’t a major incident, how could she show such an expression?
“Xiao Hai, you must help me this time, you must help your sister,” Su Yun pleaded desperately, grabbing Su Hai’s hand.
Su Hai slowly withdrew his hand, the previous worry on his face gradually receding. His sister’s behavior reminded him of twenty years ago when he was still a youth.

“Just take your time and tell me what’s wrong, don’t rush.”
Su Yun, seeing Su Hai’s reaction, felt her heart sinking slowly. “Xiao Hai, Meng Xingzhi has found out; he confronted me today, he must have discovered the secret.”
“Secret? What on earth is the secret?”
“I… When I went to the countryside, I once… once…” Su Yun hesitated for a long time, not able to bring herself to say it.
“Once what?” Su Hai’s patience gradually wore thin. He wasn’t interested in reminiscing about his sister’s time as a sent-down youth; there were many things to attend to at the General Union, and he didn’t have time to dwell on the past here.
“I gave birth to a daughter!”
