"Enough! Hold your tongue," Hai Lan said, feigning generosity, though inside she was screaming, ’Go on, say it! Attack her viciously!’
Qin Cuifen was relying on Hai Lan’s backing, so hearing this, she didn’t say much more. Originally, her intent was to provoke Hai Lan, but she didn’t take the bait.
Such a spineless reaction, not even pursuing it after being slapped.
If she had Hai Lan’s background, she would have crushed Sheng Ning into the dust.
Disappointed, Hai Lan took Qin Cuifen’s hand and said, "Come, go make a phone call with me."

In the communication room, Hai Lan dialed Hai Shen’s number.
"Brother!" she called out, her voice delicate and filled with apparent grievance.
"What’s wrong? Faced some trouble at the General Union just shortly after arriving?" Hai Shen asked with a laugh.
He knew all about this girl’s antics at the union, including how Meng Ping drove her there in the President’s car, making a grand entrance, and getting slapped by Sheng Ning.
The Hai Family had always kept a low profile, and he, as the eldest grandchild, had started from the grassroots and worked his way up.
And yet this cousin always aimed to stand above the rest.
Thinking this, Hai Shen’s eyes narrowed slightly as he suppressed his dissatisfaction. If not for his real sister being lost, would they need this fake cousin to flaunt power?

It wasn’t a big deal for her personally, but the dignity of the Hai Family was not something anyone could challenge.
Hai Shen chuckled coldly, yet his voice remained light, "Hai Lan, who is so bold to hit you? Or did you do something to give them a reason?"
Hearing this, Hai Lan immediately started crying on the phone, "Brother, you’re my brother, how can you not believe me? What could I have possibly done? Chen Huaying bullied me so much, and I’ve always just endured it."
