"Get away," she said with a disgusted frown.
Despite his usual flippant expression, Meng Ping felt as if he had been stabbed in the heart, bleeding profusely.
"What’s the meaning of this painting?" Sheng Ning’s voice was incredibly calm, as she stood there with pride and an unyielding spirit.
The admiration in Su Huai’an’s eyes was undisguised; having such an exceptional sister was something even he would take pride in.
"It’s my grandmother!" he replied.
"So what?" Sheng Ning asked indifferently, "What are you trying to tell me?"
"You are my granddaughter," Mr. Su declared firmly, unable to tolerate his granddaughter’s indifferent attitude toward him.
"How is it impossible? If I say it is, then it surely is." A voice in Mr. Su’s heart had always told him that Ningning was his granddaughter, and now the bracelet was the best proof.
"You look so much like your grandmother, and your bracelet, it’s your grandmother’s family heirloom."
Sheng Ning walked past everyone, step by step approaching the painting, close enough that a single reach would touch it.
She looked intently, her pupils suddenly contracting.
"Has this painting always been here?"
"Yes!" Su Huai’an explained, "This painting has been treasured ever since my grandmother passed away."
Sheng Ning wanted to roar, to shout, desperately wanted to cry... Why, why had it always been there? If it had always been there, then her past life was a joke...
