“Living Yama, our Li Bin has been waiting at the door every day, just hoping for you to come!” Mrs. Li greeted him with a smile.
Xu Qigang nodded discreetly, “Sorry, I was delayed by some matters.”
“Look at this child, always so sincere. We were already happy when you came to visit Li Bin previously. You guys chat, I’ll go make some special dishes.”
After Mrs. Li left, Xu Qigang personally helped Li Bin into his study. Once he was seated, Xu Qigang casually poured himself a glass of water.
“I heard you’re getting married, congratulations,” Li Bin sincerely said, “When will you bring your sister-in-law over so we can meet her?”
Xu Qigang thought of Sheng Ning and showed a helpless expression, “There’ll be a chance.” He had actually planned to finalize the details of buying clothes with her today, but that girl didn’t give him any time.
“Did you have a fight?” Li Bin, sharp as ever, could still detect some clues despite Xu Qigang’s good cover. His brother always had an expressionless face; if he ever showed any emotion, it meant something was wrong. Actually, Living Yama was the easiest to predict, whereas Meng Fan was truly complex and hard to understand.

“No, she’s just having a bit of a sulk with me!” He was willing to indulge and spoil her, so it wasn’t really a fight.
“Living Yama, it looks like you’re really done for!” Li Bin seemed a bit schadenfreude, “Is the fear of wives hereditary in your family?”
“I’m not so sure, your wife hasn’t even officially joined the family and she’s already showing signs. I think Uncle Xu is a warning from the past for you.”
Xu Qigang touched his chin and said nothing. His father wasn’t afraid of his wife; he just loved and couldn’t bear to upset her.
Loving one’s wife was the real Xu family tradition, but such things weren’t necessary to share with others.
“How’s your leg doing? Does it get worse in the winter?” Xu Qigang asked.
“Hehe…” Li Bin laughed dryly and said nonchalantly, “It’s the same! Cold air seeps out of my bones in winter, keeping me up all night in pain.”
Li Bin looked noticeably worse than before; he was pale and frail to the point of being unrecognizable.
Seeing a once high-spirited brother reduced to this state would sadden even the most stone-hearted person. Xu Qigang gently patted his shoulder, comforting him, “Don’t worry, you will recover.”
“Don’t think about sending me to M country again for treatment,” Li Bin advised again, “That capitalist and decadent country is better left alone. Even if I can never stand on this leg again, it will be as it is.” He had long since given up.
“I’m not included in the mission list this time, but I’ll surely be there next time,” Xu Qigang had never given up the idea of sending Li Bin to M country for treatment.
