Chapter 84: Chapter 084 Ruthless and Cold-hearted
“I’m sorry…” Lu Xiaoshuang mustered the courage to explain but was interrupted by Chen Yingjie’s skillfully wielded whip. The tip of the whip gently brushed her hand, causing her such pain she nearly fainted.
Looking down, she saw a fiery red mark on her fair left hand. Tears of grievance swirled in her eyes.
Chen Yingjie, looking at this group, became infuriated and snorted coldly, “A bunch of trash, everyone run ten laps around the training ground.” After a pause, he looked at the dazed Sheng Ning, “You run fifteen laps, no food until you’ve finished.”
“Captain, that’s not proper, is it?” The members of the fourth unit were nearly scared to death by their ‘mad’ Captain. Other units, green with envy, were saying Captain Xu was biased.
But their Captain was ruthless. Who trains people ? Moreover, she’s a woman, not the same as them.
“Get lost.” Chen Yingjie cursed, “Dai Bin, I’m leaving her with you. If I still see them in three days, you’ll regret it.” He walked off, dragging his whip behind him.
When Chen Yingjie left, tears streamed down Lu Xiaoshuang’s face as she cried pitifully.
Chen Huaying, standing close, said coldly, “If you’re going to cry, go home and do it. This place isn’t for raising daughters.”
Lu Xiaoshuang, frightened, wiped her tears with her sleeve and forcibly held them back.
“This is just the first day; the worst is yet to come. Prepare yourselves mentally,” Chen Huaying reminded with a cold huff.
“Attention, at ease!” Everyone listened to the command, making the required movements. Although not perfect, it was passable.
“You, fall in!” Dai Bin pointed at Sheng Ning. He was the direct person responsible for the training, experienced and adept at controlling the temperature.
“Thank you, Coach,” Sheng Ning shouted loudly. In truth, her back was so sore she could hardly muster any enthusiasm, God only knows how she bore it.
“Attention, left turn.”
At the command, some turned left, others right. It was either bumping into each other or crashing, making the training ground a pitiable sight.
The fourth unit’s people twitched at the corner of their mouths, finally understanding why their Captain was so temperamental. If it hadn’t been for the fact they were women, they’d have been kicked already.
“Get up.” Dai Bin bellowed with a resonant voice, “Everyone run, no food until you’ve finished.”
The group desperately ran around the training ground, Sheng Ning bowing her head and trying to regulate her breathing using the techniques she practiced in yoga, then followed at an unhurried pace.
At first, many were continuously complaining, but as the supervision outside of the training grounds tightened and exhaustion took its toll, soon there wasn’t a single person left talking.
Sheng Ning felt a painful ache in her lower abdomen but had no choice but to grit her teeth and bear it. Lu Xiaoshuang, usually so arrogant, didn’t dare speak a word after being lashed. What right did she have to complain!
Around the training ground, several supervisors stood watch. Those assigned were usually well-rounded and capable, shaking their heads in resignation at the sight of the women in the field.
“Should we ask the instructor for help?”
“Yeah, if they keep running , they’ll certainly faint later.”
“Madman’s orders, do you dare?”
“No!” Their Captain was ruthless, and they knew they’d be beaten to the point of being unrecognizable by their own parents.
At that moment, at the edge of the training ground, a man with a straight, statuesque figure appeared. His spine was as straight as a sword, brimming with a sharpness that emanated an innate, profound deterrence.
“Captain Xu!” Dai Bin, with a keen eye, immediately spotted him jogging over, “Captain Xu, do you have any instructions?”
