“Even if you want to eat it, you’ll need to feed it for two days until it’s meatier first. If you don’t feed it some pills to treat its injuries, how can it become meatier?” Ling Chuxi asked solemnly.
The little creature narrowed its eyes again.
Suddenly, it twisted its body and with a kick, it leaped out of Ling Chuxi’s arms. It was so fast that Ling Chuxi had been caught off guard, and they only a saw a flash of red as it disappeared into the night.
Mo Kongyuan and the others were stunned. No one would have thought it would be so fast! Even if they tried to catch it, they probably wouldn’t succeed.
“What monster beast was that?” After a while, Ling Chuxi regained her senses. Such quick speed meant that it was definitely not an ordinary wild beast. It was a monster beast, but she had never heard of one like this before.
Lin Cangbo and the rest shook their heads. Even with their experience, they had been unable to tell that it was a monster beast, so how would they know its origins?
“Who knows? I already said we should just eat it, but you insisted on feeding it a pill. Such a pity.” Mo Kongyuan sighed unhappily, completely unbothered about what monster beast it was.
“Forget it. Rest early, we will need to move quickly tomorrow,” Lin Cangbo told the others seriously.
Surrounding the fire pit, the group once again fell into silence.
A fiery red ray of light flashed past as the little creature from earlier headed to a mountain peak that looked like a cloud of smoke. It lunged forward and disappeared into an undulating ripple, landing on the ground easily. The critter stopped and turned it head around, angrily waving its paws in the direction where Ling Chuxi was.
“That woman actually wanted to eat me! She even dared to pinch me and touch my butt! Does she have any idea who I am?! If the others ever found out that I was molested by a human… The pill was pretty good though.” The little fellow bared its teeth and waved its claws furiously as it spoke, licking its lips when it recalled the pill.
“Young Master, you are finally back!” Two figures suddenly appeared by his side, throwing themselves onto the ground and wailing uncontrollably.
“Why are you both here? Get up! It’s not like I died, what are you crying so much for?” The creature said wearily and sighed. It closed its eyes, straightened and transformed into a slender young man.
The man was incredibly handsome, with long hair like fire, pitch black eyes that gleamed like gemstones, thin lips, and a cold and regal temperament. From the look on his face, however, he was clearly annoyed.
“Young Master, the kings found out that you snuck out and were furious. You know what their tempers are like – they almost broke my bones! If Young Master had not returned, I surely would have lost my worthless life!” A tall, overly skinny young man sobbed, patting his bruised nose and swollen face gingerly. His expression was more aggrieved than a respectful young lady that had just been molested.
“You’re so stupid, isn’t it just a few beatings? Is there a need to cry like this?” A huge, plump man with dark skin harrumphed in disdain.
“You weren’t the one who got beaten, of course you won’t cry!” The skinny man protested as he sobbed daintily, looking extremely miserable.
“Alright, alright. Stop crying. Am I not back now?” The young man sighed wearily.
“Young Master, are you wounded?” The young man stopped weeping and asked in concern.
“I’m fine, I just had a little trouble during cultivation,” the young man said with a frown.
