In order to check everything in the manor, Diamond directly moved in. She didn’t have any boyfriend to spend time with, so checking if there were more treasures in the manor became the most important to her.
The next day, Diamond went to the entertainment area, where another secret passage exited.
This time, she didn’t have Andrea to help her, since he was busy with his tinkering. However, he introduced one of his children to her, probably the best of his kids, since he was so trusting in letting him lead.
This son didn’t have a name, so it landed on her to name him. In the end, she named him Ace and the two of them got along pretty well.
Following Ace’s lead, Diamond found the hidden passage in that courtyard and it took her to a secret gallery. Not certain who owned this secret gallery, but whoever that person was, this one was very corrupt.
Inside the gallery, Diamond saw some of the artefacts which showed traces of history. Some of them looked so familiar. She had seen them in history books during her studious days.
This was more of a hot potato harvest. Fortunately, not everything was like that. However, she still took everything. From paintings, vases, jewelry, and fabric.
She would check later and see what needed to be returned to the country and what could be kept with her.
After sweeping everything from the gallery, Ace checked the room for any other secret rooms, but there was nothing that could be found.
Since this was the end, Diamond went to check the other path she didn’t get to check because of time.
That would be the last secret path beneath her manor, and she was curious where it would lead her.
She returned to the secret base and started walking on that path. With the drone lighting the way, Diamond, who had all the time in the world for this exploration, didn’t use the ghostly steps which would make her move faster but walked normally.
What if she moved so fast and missed a hidden room or compartment on the walls?
She didn’t know how long she walked, but she knew that the path continued for a very long time until it forked into three.
Seeing the familiar pattern, Diamond chose one path and explored it thoroughly. Unfortunately, there were no hidden rooms or other extra passages. However, this path led her somewhere she didn’t even expect.
"Ace, where the heck are we?" she asked dumbfoundedly after exiting a cave, sending herself into a lush forest. One she didn’t even know existed.
"Um," she grunted as she looked around.
Could it be that this person made some escape routes just in case something goes awry?
{Nan, this is still the mountain’s forest. It’s on the other side of the mountain. If we continue to descend from here, we will reach the main road in like twenty minutes.}
Upon hearing that, Diamond nodded her head as it dawned on her. At least the escape routes were closer to the road.
"Let’s go back and check the rest!" she urged, filled with anticipation as she turned around, not exploring further anymore.
So, on this day, the granny and grandson explored the remaining two paths and Diamond learnt what it was to prepare everything in advance.
The longest path took Diamond to the outskirts of Dielas and into another forest. This person had a thing for caves, mountains and forests. Didn’t he ever take into account that if an earthquake happened, what would happen to those passages?
Anyway, it was good seeing that the manor came with so many interesting things. If in the future something crazy happens, the manor would become the best place to lie low.
However, seeing all of this, Diamond got stimulated and her creative side of the brain, which didn’t like operating in full mode, was awakened. She could already foresee how formidable the house that she would build would be.
’I just need to buy some land. But where can I buy it?’
After exploring everything, another day came to an end.
The next day, it was the last day of the month, 31 January, and on this day, Diamond sat in her Golden Space tabulating all the treasures she had gotten from the manor.
She was going to record everything and check what was hot and what could be used by her in the future.
All the fabrics could be used, and all she needed to do was find a good tailor to make great traditional outfits for her.
Jewelry was top-notch as well and considering that some of it came from another world, it was definitely genuine and with some of it from centuries ago; it was at that time when people weren’t too much into scamming, so it was genuine as well.
It took a while for her to tabulate everything and after a long time, there was a small heap of hot items, the ones she needed to be wary of.
They were stolen from the country and some of them were from prominent families. She didn’t want to keep these. So, she was going to find a way to send them back to their owners like a secret Santa.
After doing so, Diamond started checking on another thing she had been pushing aside since she was busy.
The system rewards had been coming and honestly, she couldn’t be any happier. It’s just that she was too occupied and didn’t have much time to check them properly, but now that all the stressful issues had been dealt with, it was time for her to take a look.
Counting from the day she left Iwarim until this very day, it’s been nine days. And a lot can happen in those so many days.
Looking at the rewards she had received, Diamond couldn’t help but smile happily, kicking her legs like a baby who had received something she had been crying for.
She received the golden shield, something that can make a haunted house seem like a playground; a very good protection method, which now makes her feel very brave.
The other eight rewards were as follows; a slimming tea recipe, beauty pills *3, 15% shares of Palm Paradise Hotel, the mask of grimoire, a VERTAH gown, an apartment in Strawford city, an Oasis diamond membership, and a box of water.
