"I am pretty nervous!"
"I wonder what the boss looks like!"
"As long as she is beautiful, then I don’t care about anything else."
"Even if she is not pretty, who cares? Since she is someone paying my bills, I will worship her either way!"
The staff were quite nervous, sitting in their respective offices.
They had just received a message from the General Manager that the Chairwoman was coming.
This person was an existence that they haven’t seen yet or got to know. But one thing was for certain. Whoever she was, she was someone who was very rich.
Despite their companies being newly formed and in existence for two weeks so far, they have seen a lot.
They were part of the D-Angel community. And on that app, only people who worked for their boss, the one on top, could be found there.
There were so many private groups representing the different companies. Such a person. Just who was she?
That had been the question on their minds for two weeks, but now the answer was coming their way.
It won’t be long before the boss arrives.
While they were sweating buckets outside the building, a group of men and women could be seen wearing formal outfits. In front were two familiar faces, Nancy and Kiara, and the two of them looked much more relaxed than the rest.
They have been waiting for nearly fifteen minutes now. However, they weren’t tired and no one even raised the point of getting back inside. What if the boss arrived and there was no one?
Thankfully, the person that they were waiting for finally arrived.
When Kiara and Nancy saw the familiar Dentley, they looked at each other with a smile before Nancy addressed the people. She had been leading for two weeks and said, "That’s the boss who has arrived. Remember what we talked about earlier? You can’t mess up, no matter what!" reminding them of what they had talked about before.
The men and women behind them responded in unison, "We won’t forget. Trust us!" they didn’t dare fool around.
Nancy had proved herself to be a tough person to deal with. And as someone who was trusted by the big boss to handle the companies while the general managers were adopting, they didn’t have the guts to mess with her.
Nancy smiled, her lips curling upwards when she heard that reassurance.
She didn’t want anyone getting in the way of her and her bonuses. She would slaughter anyone who dare does that.
Meanwhile, Diamond had no clue as to what Nancy was doing with the employees. She was just glad to see that the staff was well organized.
After parking her car, she picked up her tote bag and alighted from the car.
Dressed casually, she didn’t look like a person who owned such a company. No, the owner of such companies at all.
She looked more like a guest or a client. Appearances were deceiving.
That was what the managers standing with Nancy and Kiara felt at that moment upon seeing the person coming.
Was that person really the Chairwoman?
Why didn’t it feel plausible?
However, when they saw the two people who had made them taste what fear was like in these two weeks, greeting the young woman politely and with respect, realization dawned on them.
Never judge a book by its cover!
"Welcome back, Chairwoman!" both Kiara and Nancy said in unison, startling Diamond, who wasn’t expecting to be greeted as such.
When did they discard the Miss and replace it with such a scary title?
"You ... you two, did you eat the wrong thing at lunch today?" she couldn’t help but ask suspiciously as she approached the two women.
The two, upon hearing that, smiled, amazed at how their boss was at times.
"We ate healthily, Miss. It’s good to see you again," Nancy amusingly responded, calling Diamond with the title that she was used to.
This time, Diamond heaved with relief, hearing the familiar title. Being called Chairwoman, placed too much burden on her shoulders. It made her shudder at the thought of coming to work every day to keep up with the title.
Miss made it easy for her to relax.
"How was your vacation, miss?" Kiara asked with a smile, seeing how vibrant the other looked.
Talking about the vacation, Diamond beamed as she looked at the two women who never let her down. "It was wonderful! The best vacation ever!" she enthusiastically responded, her eyes shining like a polished diamond.
The two were relieved at hearing that.
"We are glad that you are enjoyed."
"How about we introduce you to the people who will be in charge of managing the companies?" Nancy asked as she looked at Diamond with a gaze that spoke volumes, ’it was time to get back to business.’
Facing such a strict employee, what else could Diamond do?
"Sure. Let’s get to know each other. The clock is ticking," she answered, remembering that the companies hadn’t started operating the way she wanted them yet.
The sooner she dealt with them, the sooner she could also go to another appointment of the day.
With her agreement, Nancy didn’t waste time but walked with Diamond to where the group of managers were waiting.
When they arrived, the group respectfully greeted Diamond, calling her chairwoman. Their way of calling nearly made her return to the car and head home.
They were simply too enthusiastic for her liking.
Anyway, with the greetings out of the way, the group walked to the office building as Nancy made the introductions.
There was a general manager for each company, as well as the managers in charge of different departments.
Diamond took a closer look at these people. Although she had briefly seen their profiles thanks to Andrea and Nancy before, seeing them in person was different.
"Now that you are working for me, I only expect 110% loyalty from all of you. If any of you decide to betray me and bite the hand that feeds you. I will make you regret working for me in the first place.
If you have any issues, then tell your intermediate superior or Nancy here. If it is anything regarding legal issues, lawyer Kiara is there. She will deal with it. I just hope that personally, I won’t find myself sitting with you and dealing with issues that could have been avoided if everyone worked wholeheartedly," Diamond warned the managers who were prone to temptation.
