Diamond moved to the next company, where the staff was already waiting for her.
For this company, which deals with lending people money, it started its operation a week ago. Their training period was shorter than the trading company.
During that week, she also gave her employees enough time to think through whether they wanted to borrow money or not. After all, with her arrival, the trading company would be opening and the benefits were lucrative. And not to be missed.
She just hoped that in the period she had given everyone, they wouldn’t let her down. Her heart would be bruised if they did so.
Diamond addressed the staff seriously, just like for the trading company.
"While your priority should be given to all employees under the corporation hanger, you must not forget the other people out there who need help.
Don’t forget to take into account what you were taught. Before you give anyone a loan, make sure that you know everything that needs to be known. We don’t want to be having many bad debts, just because we lend money to ghosts."
It was easy to lose money in the loaning business. That was why loan sharks were very ruthless when it came to taking their money back.
As for banks, they don’t give you a loan without having something of great value as security.
The same was true for her company. For outsiders, without knowing everything that should be known, and something for security for those who want to borrow large amounts of money, there won’t be any money going anywhere.
She might be charitable, but having people take her money simply because they think that they could. She can’t tolerate such acts.
Since the company had started operating already and serving only the employees, there wasn’t much to address.
What they wanted to know, she would tell Nancy and let her deal with the overall issue later.
After a while, the meeting finally came to an end. However, she and the other two women weren’t done.
When all the staff left, it was her, Nancy and Kiara.
With the three of them in the room, Diamond wanted to use this chance to understand the overall report of the two companies from both the management and legal aspects.
And it was the hardest part for her to endure, but could only plaster a smile on her face as if everything was alright. Thankfully, Andrea, being a great help always, was there to give a hand.
" ..... so far, we are right on track when it comes to the company documents and other policies. As long as we continue with how we started, then I can assure you that we won’t be in trouble at all," after a long time, Kiara concluded her report.
Diamond heaved a sigh of relief when she heard the conclusion of the matter.
"That’s good. Let’s keep it that way. And keep an eye out if there are any policy changes and whatnot. I don’t want to see my company getting in trouble just because we overlooked that matter," Diamond said, her expression solemn.
She might be ignorant of other things, but she understood that being on the other side of the law could make a person lose everything in a second.
If a person is doing something that is against the law, then he or she must make sure to never be caught. Otherwise, the day that happens, then everything would be for naught.
"I will keep my eyes and ears open," Kiara responded as she jotted something down.
After Kiara gave her report, it was Nancy’s time.
"Miss, the trading company is ready now to start business. I believe that with how enthusiastic they are, they will be able to bring the company lucrative profits ......" Nancy began her report, focusing on the trading company first.
Since it was the only one that wasn’t bringing in anything so far, Diamond understood her urgency.
"Um, we can start tomorrow. Let the traders be ready for anything. For now, I will open an account. Find someone trustworthy to take care of it," while tapping her fingers on the desk, Diamond said.
Since the company will start trading, she didn’t know how many people would register for now. So, to keep everyone on their toes, she might as well open an account and see how they fare.
Nancy jotted something down after hearing that and raised a question, "Miss, then should we focus on dealing with the staff only or promote the company to outsiders as well?"
Diamond’s brows furrowed when she heard that, her mind working overtime, coming up with a plan.
After pondering for a while, she answered, "For now, promote it within the company. When the month ends, then let the news spread. However, be careful of accepting just anything and anyone. As much as we want to take money from the people, we should also keep in mind if our labor can manage."
"I will bear that in mind," Nancy responded as she nodded her head in agreement.
The two discussed a bit more about the trading company before they moved to the lending business.
"As I reported before, the staff are taking the lending business pretty well. This week, we have received a great number of them who applied for loans. Some of them already got their loans approved while others are still under review. I also believe that with time, more people will borrow as well."
Hearing that, Diamond’s eyes sparkled happily. She really liked hearing that the businesses were earning money. To her, it was a win-win situation. She earned a few cents from these stingy staff and simultaneously they solved their problem as well.
When their lives are going pretty well without much to worry about, they would work pretty well.
"Then spread out and promote the services to the public. It’s time we expand our services. We have a lot of money, so people should come and get it. And remember to be cautious."
"I will surely do so," Nancy answered and added a few more things as well.
Diamond listened attentively, adding her own points now and then. After god knows how long, the meeting finally ended.
"The rest. Let’s talk about it later," Diamond said as she waved her hands in dismissal.
If she heard anything more, she was certain that her head would start fuming with smoke.
She was on the verge of going insane.
Diamond raised her hand in protest, shutting Kiara, who had more to say.
"Whatever you want to report, send a summary to my email. I will take a look at it and then when I am free, I will sit down with you and listen seriously. I have somewhere else to go right now," she said imploringly as she looked at the two energetic women.
They had eaten, but she hadn’t eaten except for breakfast. Her mind wasn’t faring well at all.
Seeing her like that, both Kiara and Nancy knew that they wouldn’t be able to do anything. They could only acquiesce and hope that the next time would be soon.
