"Hah! Who would have thought that one day I would see so many cars at once?" a security guard exclaimed excitedly as he looked at the convoy of cars which he had just allowed to pass.
His colleague smiled as he brimmed with pride at what had happened that day and said, "Hehe. You can tell that we are dealing with the big leagues."
"I suddenly envy those people!"
"Tch!" the other rolled his eyes as he looked at the shameless friend who didn’t bother his thoughts at all.
However, inwardly, he felt the same as well.
He had been letting these cars pass the gates for more than an hour. Honestly, he wished to be attending the party of the VIP whom he knew pretty well.
How nice would it be if the party was broadcasted?
Unfortunately, it was private.
Meanwhile, at the club itself, the customers were busy craning their necks, taking a glance at these well-dressed men and women who had been pouring in for a while now.
Through some channels, they heard that some bigshot was hosting a private birthday party. They couldn’t help but wonder who was hosting such a low-key party.
"OMG! Is that young master Wyatt?"
"When did he return?"
"He looks so damn fine."
"It’s too bad that he is just ....."
"Who cares what he is? At least he isn’t someone who causes trouble."
"Hehe, whoever is hosting the party. I like that person. I got to see young master Wyatt’s group."
"I am not interested in these young masters."
"I saw the young misses. They looked all pretty."
"It’s like the whole Garden View Villa complex misses and masters are in attendance."
"But who is the host?"
"You aren’t alone there."
There were a lot of opinions being shared. However, one thing was for certain: whatever was happening right now, it was going to trend one way or the other.
After all, familiar faces who were quite known were gathering in one place. So how could they not be curious?
Among the curious people, there was a certain group in one of the private groups.
When Wyatt and his friends were passing, heading towards the private room where the party was being held, the group of people caught a glimpse of them.
Seeing this group, the group in the room’s curiosity was piqued.
"What do you think he is up to now?" one of them, wearing a colorful shirt, asked curiously as he swirled a glass of wine.
"Hehe, probably some party. What else?"
"Now that begs the question. Whose party?"
Sitting with this group of young men was a face that would have been familiar to Ruby, as if she had seen him the other time.
"Lon, what are you thinking about?" one of the friends asked the young man wearing a white dress shirt and a pair of ripped black jeans, who was playing with his phone and his focus was not in place.
Waylon, upon hearing his name getting called, jolted out of his messy thoughts, looked at his friends and smiled faintly.
"Nothing serious," he answered with a shrug, his expression calm.
"Are you sure?" one of the friends asked.
Waylon nodded with a reassuring smile on his face. The friends, seeing that, heaved with relief before they continued with their speculation.
However, inwardly, Waylon was thinking, ’It’s her birthday. How come she is being low-key this time?’
On the other side, Wyatt and his friends finally reached the private room where the party was going to be held.
He was quite nervous, to be honest.
If he wasn’t mistaken, her family would be there, as well as her friends. The friends who barely made waves online. Diamond was someone who protected her family as much as she could.
It was not easy to know who was acquainted with her. Just like it was hard to know where her actual home was. Until now, he didn’t think that there was anyone who had managed to crack that mystery yet.
With several wrapped boxes with presents for the birthday girl, he just hoped that she would love what they had brought.
He knocked on the door lightly after gathering his wits. As for the friends he had brought, he knew that they were quite nervous.
After all, it would be their first time meeting one of the few people that they looked up to but couldn’t meet as much as they wanted.
Moments later, the door opened, and a beautiful and familiar face greeted him.
The moment he saw that face, the first thing that came to mind was how her appearance was quite similar to Diamond and Ruby. Could this be the famous Garnet? One of the Perry sisters?
"Hello!" he greeted politely, a smile on his face as he looked at her.
Garnet looked at this person she knew in and out and yet couldn’t share the juicy news with her mistress aka sister with a smile and said, "Hello. Welcome young master Wyatt and friends," her tone was very polite as she looked at Wyatt and then the friends who were behind him.
Wyatt nodded smilingly at Garnet and didn’t bother to ask how the other knew him. It would be strange if they didn’t know him, right?
After all, he appeared several times in Diamond’s broadcasts when they were in Gesalsi.
"Thank you for welcoming us!"
Garnet simply smiled and stepped aside to allow the group entry.
Wyatt nodded at her before stepping into the room. As for his friends, when they passed Garnet, they politely greeted her.
Since they didn’t know her name, they could only reach that far.
Garnet let everyone enter. That was the last group of guests as everyone had arrived earlier.
She closed the door before making her way to where everyone was.
Inside the large room, tables were set beautifully, and the magnificent decor made the room so vibrant. The place looked regale and had this certain vibe that just made one sit with his or her back straight.
There were not too many guests invited to the party, to be honest. Diamond’s circle of friends wasn’t that large.
In total, there were a total of twenty people, including Diamond herself.
In fact, the number was supposed to be fewer than that, but then Wyatt brought a few friends, making the number higher than expected.
Thankfully, there was enough room for extra guests. So, their arrival didn’t cause too much concern.
After all, the more the merrier.
