Diamond didn’t hurriedly come out of the car but picked up what she wanted; her phone and wallet with cash in it.
She also checked to see what the drone was doing and was happy seeing that it was still busy at work.
She wanted to record the eating session and edit it into a short vlog to upload later.
Once she got what she wanted, she opened the door and got out.
Those who were watching from the truck saw Diamond very clearly since her car was the one in front and very visible to them.
So, when that door opened, a beautiful leg greeted them with the foot wearing sandals. Shortly after that, the owner of the leg emerged from the car and they were at a loss for words.
’Who is that?’ that’s what all of them were thinking as they saw her coming out of the car.
The backless one-piece that she was wearing reached her knees. However, when she walked, the dress rose a bit, exposing the daffodil tattoo on her right thigh, leaving an impactful image to those watching her.
Diamond sensed the gazes directed towards her and she just smiled as she continued to walk towards the truck. There was no need to wait for the guys. They would catch up with her.
The food truck owner and the other patrons, seeing her coming their way, couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
"They are indeed coming this way!"
"Auntie, do you still have food?"
"Auntie, you have made it big today!"
The patrons couldn’t help but say to the owner seeing how these bigshots had stopped by to eat the food. It was rare to see people like these visiting such humble places like these.
The owner was quite taken aback. After hearing what the other patrons were asking, she nervously checked her shuffling dishes. And when she saw the food, a wave of relief washed over her.
Business was quite low today, so she hadn’t sold as much as she usually did. If these people didn’t find food, wouldn’t they be disappointed with her?
She didn’t dare to disappoint them, especially seeing that smiling girl walking towards them.
She looked very sunny, and the owner grew a soft spot for her before the other even arrived.
Diamond wasn’t surprised when no one called her name. She might be popular, but not everyone so far knew of her name. She was going to change that, though.
Nonetheless, she was still happy seeing that she had left such a huge impression on these few people. That was enough for now.
As she passed the patrons enjoying their food while stealing sneak peeks at her, she beamed at them politely, winning over everyone at the scene.
She shortly found herself standing face to face with a middle-aged aunty. The owner of the food truck.
She smiled at her, her eyes sparkling like diamonds and her mesmerizing voice sounded as she asked softly, "Auntie, what kind of food are you selling today? Me and my brothers we are quite hungry!"
She didn’t put on any airs at all and that put the owner at ease. She was truly afraid of accidentally offending these rich and spoiled kids.
The owner smiled politely at Diamond and answered the questions easily. "We have mixed samp with beans, rice, beef stew, chicken stew, roasted chicken, braai meat and salads."
When Diamond heard that, her eyes lit up as she peered inside, her gaze locking onto several dishes that the owner had just mentioned.
While she was busy doing so, the five guys also arrived. However, unlike Diamond, who looked sunny, the guys looked fierce and cold. They could only shrink their necks in fear.
The five shortly arrived where Diamond was and asked what was being served.
Diamond explained to them what was there and even suggested what they could eat.
Since she wanted them to experience the joy of eating the kind of food they had never eaten at home, she decided on their servings.
"Auntie, for these five brothers of mine, serve them with mixed samp, braai beef, and salads."
They had eaten a lot of rice growing up, but Samp doubted they did eat it. Besides, if they didn’t like the food, she would order more servings for them.
The auntie acknowledged that and started serving the food in kaylites. Diamond received each finished kaylite and passed it to the guys.
The guys who knew how to eat the meat and salads didn’t pretty much understand the grains they were going to eat. But seeing other people eating them, and knowing that it was Diamond who picked that for them, they could only accept their servings and went to find a seat.
After the five guys were served, Diamond gave her own order, which shocked the other patrons and the owner, except for the guys who were with her.
Diamond ordered every single dish she saw, and the owner, after the momentary shock, hurriedly served the dishes.
Wyatt kindly helped her with the kaylites and took her to the second table that they were having.
With so much food on the table, Diamond licked her lips in anticipation.
"Let’s eat!" she said happily as she looked at her friends while picking the spoon.
Seeing her ready to eat, the guys also looked at her, wondering how to eat this samp thing. Thankfully, Diamond started with that, making it easy for the guys to follow suit.
While eating, Diamond kindly explained what they were eating and how it was usually cooked. The others listening to this kind of lesson couldn’t help but look at Diamond in a new light.
She didn’t sound like someone who was raised with a silver spoon.
Once the food was eaten, they found it very delicious. They couldn’t help but want more.
After running for hours, it was not surprising to be so hungry. And the owner, despite not getting paid yet, was happy to serve them more food while worryingly looking at Diamond who was sweeping the food quickly as if it was nothing.
While they ate, other brave patrons couldn’t help but ask nervously.
"This .... Do you mind if we um .... Is it possible to take photos of the car? We don’t necessarily need to get closer!"
