Meanwhile, in a certain VIP suite at the hotel, a woman dressed in a tight-fitting black outfit sat on the sofa with her legs crossed while talking on the phone with a faint smile on her face.
"I should be back, latest by a day after tomorrow, if everything goes according to plan," the woman informed the person she was talking to on the phone.
[Um. That’s good because we don’t dare delay the program on this side.]
The woman frowned slightly as she thought of the work that awaited her back at the headquarters and felt her temples throbbing.
"Don’t worry. The other person doesn’t seem to be that difficult to deal with."
[I hope so. Anyway, I came across the young master today. From the rumors spreading currently, it seems that he will be entering seclusion in a short while.]
When the woman heard that, her fist clenched unconsciously as a mysterious glint flashed across her eyes. Her gaze was a bit complicated upon hearing that from the other.
Nonetheless, curiosity got the best of her. She found herself asking, "Do you know when he would be entering seclusion?"
[Nope. It hasn’t been confirmed yet. It would be better if that happened when you were here. If he goes again, who knows when he will come out again?]
Indeed, she didn’t know when she would be able to see him again, and it made her heart feel stifled. Unfortunately, there was nothing that she could do about this matter. At least there was one thing that comforted her. She didn’t need to worry about any other vixen taking the young master.
He didn’t have any women or men in his heart. All he knew and cared about was alchemy. For someone obsessed with that, would he even bother with such trivial matters?
The woman chatted briefly with the other person for a while before she hung up the call. Once the call ended, she didn’t put the phone down but used it to search for some information which popped on her screen instantly.
The woman looked at the smiling young woman dazedly and wondered how people could be so different.
Despite her level and her level, she was unable to get her hands on every information that she needed regarding this person.
Thankfully, there wouldn’t be a way for her and the young master to meet any time soon.
The woman, after settling her thoughts, rose to her feet while maintaining a serious expression on her face. She had gotten used to it so much; that it had become a habit.
The woman walked away from the room she was in and appeared in another room where three people, two men and one woman were seated on the sofas.
Upon seeing her, they saluted her without rising to their feet and she acknowledged that as she found her way to a seat.
Once she was seated, the other woman looked at her with a smile on her face and opened her mouth to say, "Chief, the grandmaster should be done by now. When are we sending a message?"
When the woman, who was the chief, heard that, looked at the other and responded coolly, "Just send it now. Since she is a shareholder here, then let’s just meet here. No need to go elsewhere," instructing.
When the other woman heard that, she nodded before she looked away, sending a message over.
While the woman was busy doing so, the two men started reporting to the chief about what they had found upon their arrival.
This group was the one from the Super Abilities organization which came to meet with Diamond. They arrived a day earlier to settle down and also look into Diamond at a close range rather than relying on the information that they received elsewhere.
Thankfully, Diamond’s information wasn’t that difficult to get, especially the local kind.
During their meeting, the other woman gave a report and confirmed that Diamond had responded and agreed to meet them at the hotel.
Since that was confirmed, what was needed was to prepare for the meeting tomorrow.
The night passed peacefully, and a new day dawned on them.
The chief woke up early and went through rigorous morning training before taking a shower and changing into something casual, which was mainly black.
Since the meeting was to be held at lunch, she had a lot of time to go around and check other things out. And since she came here to see how the grandmaster lives and associates with people, she was curious to see the foundation that had caused a lot of waves in the past year.
So that morning, she left with her people and headed towards the area where the foundation was. She didn’t bother to go inside but quietly observed from the outside.
All she could see were people going and exiting the building. There were security guards patrolling around the building, and staff wearing the foundation’s t-shirts could be seen as well. Lastly, people she assumed to be clients could be seen going in and out.
What was common among all these people were the smiles that were plastered on their faces. They all looked sincere and didn’t seem forced at all.
Whatever was happening inside there might indeed be genuine. She was now more curious to see Diamond in person.
After checking the foundation, she returned to the hotel since she wasn’t interested in a lot of things.
When she returned, time had flown much, and it was two hours before the designated time for the appointment. So, she started preparing. No matter what, she wasn’t going to meet the other person looking shabby. That would make her lose face for the organization.
And she wasn’t going to do that.
Thirty minutes until appointment time, she left her suite and headed towards the room she had reserved earlier.
Rather than letting Diamond wait for her, she was going to do the waiting and hoped that the other wouldn’t keep her waiting for long.
After all, first appearances always matter, especially for women.
She just hoped that, just like her, she was someone who took things seriously. However, considering the fact that the other was a grandmaster, she cooled down.
As long as Diamond appears, she would be grateful.
She was in a state where, even when provoked, she wouldn’t dare get angry.
As she made her way to the room, the elevator behind her suddenly dinged, attracting her attention. She paused in her tracks and looked back, curious to see who would be coming out.
And curiosity killed the cat.
