So far, all her businesses hadn’t been affecting the Big Six families as well as the other rich families in Frin yet. Her main focus was on the charity foundation; thus, she wasn’t targeted.
However, thinking about the cosmetic company opening in April and the waves it would cause once the products are out there for sale, she could foresee the future already.
If she wasn’t mistaken, one of the six big families was in the beauty industry, though it was just another subsidiary company. However, it was quite famous, and she used to own some of the products from there before.
When she joins, she will definitely attract trouble and attention. That means that opposition and being targeted would be common. However, with the government protection, she who was never afraid of paying her taxes in time wouldn’t have to worry.
Besides, if things get really serious, she wouldn’t mind making a move herself. It wasn’t like she was just a vase who couldn’t do anything.
The meal was sumptuous, and the two ladies enjoyed their chat while filling their tummies.
By the time the meal was finished, they had both come to terms with what they wanted and Raya promised to send the revised contract through email once she returned.
Diamond wasn’t in a hurry to sign, so she readily accepted that.
Once that was over, Diamond didn’t forget what she had brought for the chief, so she directly told her, "I concocted a few pills, which would be suitable for you and your people. Just consider them my gift for joining the family and bagging such a lucrative deal from you!"
Raya didn’t expect to receive a gift like that. She looked at the other gratefully and thanked Diamond profusely and earnestly. However, her words suddenly got caught in her throat as she witnessed a very sudden and unexpected scene that she had never seen, even in the organization.
Diamond flicked her hand, which wasn’t supposed to be eye-catching, but the fact that several jade bottles appeared on the table after that move, Raya was dumbfounded.
Her heart pounded wildly as she looked at the other with pure reverence and idolization.
It wasn’t like she didn’t know what was happening. As someone who was raised and trained by a powerful master, she had heard a lot. There were so many books in the organization she read and what she just witnessed was written there.
Diamond should have either a dimensional space or a storage artefact on her. It was either of the two. But if she knew that she had both, what would Raya do?
Diamond wasn’t aware of what Raya was thinking. In her mind, since she and Raya were the same kind, she just openly showed one of her treasures. After all, there was no way someone like Raya wouldn’t have come across something like that.
She possessed two storage bags, though she passed them to others. If she could have plenty like that, then what about an organization that had existed for centuries?
Besides, Raya didn’t expose herself, so Diamond, who was clueless, just explained to Raya the pills that she had taken out smilingly.
"I concocted some body-strengthening pills. Do whatever you see fit with them. If you have any type of pill you want to be concocted, tell me in advance and it would be cheaper if you provide the materials. If I provide them myself, the price will increase. I hope that you bear that in mind!"
Diamond didn’t have all herbs in the dimensional or the practice space given by the system before. Sometimes she buys them in the system’s practice space and the price isn’t low.
So, if they could provide her with the materials, her costs would decrease as well and they wouldn’t need to spend more on the bill.
Raya accepted the bottles of the pills with gratefulness. The body-strengthening pills were very good and helped to aid the body to become strong. It was even good for people without any abilities. With them, they could empower and make ordinary soldiers stronger. So, these pills were quite important and the fact that they got them for free, she was even more grateful.
Raya accepted the gift and also gave one in return.
"I don’t know if you will or not, but since you are an alchemist, I thought that you would do it," she said nervously as she pushed a small box towards Diamond.
Diamond, upon seeing the small box, wondered what kind of treasure was inside there. But when she opened the box, her lips twitched as she looked at the small seed inside.
She raised her head to look at Raya, who wore a wry smile and asked her, "What is this?" too dumbfounded to call it seed.
Raya knew that if she didn’t explain this matter, she might anger the other party, so she truthfully responded. "That is an unknown seed. It’s been with the organization for more than a century. Tests had been done and yet so far, we haven’t got a single clue. It’s the last seed remaining as others were damaged during the tests.
Since we failed to find out what it was and what kind of tree or herb it would grow into, we thought that gifting it to you might have some results. Maybe you will find a way to make it grow."
When Diamond heard that explanation, her anger dissipated as it clicked in her mind that she had been given a mysterious seed and the last of its kind.
As for how the seed might never germinate or how they might have given her something else, she completely didn’t even think about it.
The fact that this was the last seed and a mysterious one became a precious gift in her eyes. Even if it didn’t germinate, which she didn’t believe would happen. Others didn’t have the dimensional space like she does or the space fairy. So how could they compare?
In the future, if the seed germinates and whatever it produces is good, she will earn money by selling it back to the government. Wouldn’t that be interesting?
Raya heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that Diamond was no longer agitated but rather happy as she looked lovingly at the seed, which had driven even the elders crazy.
With the seed in Diamond’s hands, maybe a miracle would happen.
With the gifts exchanged, there was no point in the ladies continuing with the meeting. So, the two bid each other farewell and parted in good ways.
As for when they would be able to meet again, that was something for another day.
Right now, Diamond just wanted to return home and see what secret the seed had in store for her.
