When she got home, the first thing that she did was to call her parents and humbled herself as she told them about her relationship with Gael.
Thankfully, they weren’t that angry but scolded her a few times before asking about this and that, which made her lit up.
They didn’t forget to remind her about coming over with Ruby once her semester ends, which was in about a week or so, if she wasn’t mistaken.
After coaxing her parents, she responded to loads of messages from her friends who were congratulating her on the new relationship and clamoring to see her.
There were even messages from Wyatt and Nolan, which made her sigh with dejection. It’s been ages since she last saw them. She missed them so much.
After dealing with her friends, she looked at the trending posts that these marketing accounts published. Those she liked, she reacted and shared while others she simply didn’t bother to react but brushed past.
At the same time, she received a report from Ivy regarding the broadcast, and she was happy to see that the fans were clamoring to buy the merch, and it was just a matter of time before they would get their hands on it.
After that, she opened the email from Gesalsi, which was a response regarding her requests for songs. There was a long list of songs, which she planned to check thoroughly before choosing the songs to sing.
In the middle of doing so, Andrea informed her that he talked to local singers and received permission for her to cover their songs. She was thrilled with such news, she praised Andrea generously and promised to sing the songs well.
When all the excitement finally died down, she prepared to retire for the night. There was a lot of work waiting for her when the sun rose once again.
Hours trickled by, and before she knew it, she was waking up again.
She did her morning chores before leaving with Ivy. The recording equipment that she was rewarded with was going to be delivered directly to the entertainment agency, which was halfway through the renovations.
When she and Ivy got there, the delivery vehicle was also arriving, making it the perfect time.
Diamond signed for her package, and the equipment was carried into the building with utmost care. After that, she watched as the professionals who were brought on this day started equipping the main recording studio with the equipment.
Diamond didn’t watch the whole process since she heard that it might take a while, and she didn’t have that much time.
After giving Ivy instructions, she left and promised to return later to see how it would look once everything had been equipped. After all, she still planned to use the recording system to record before the concert.
After leaving that place, she had Admire drive her to the second fresh produce supermarket. The first thing she noticed upon arrival was the number of customers. They were overwhelming and some of them were even standing outside.
The number of staff seemed to be few, which made her frown.
She hadn’t told Agatha that she was coming by. It was a surprise on her part and she didn’t expect to come across such a scene, to be honest.
When she got there, Diamond didn’t bother to stand in the queue but made her way to the shop. Of course, she nearly got harassed by the security guard and the other customers who thought that she was jumping the queue. She was forced to remove the mask. Only then did she enter smoothly, without any interference.
Inside the supermarket, she realized that the number of stock was pitifully low. The customers were clamoring more for the deluxe products, which made her happy and distressed. It meant that working very hard from now on. The thought of it made her lament.
While roaming around the supermarket, Diamond noticed that there weren’t a lot of staff to serve people. As she listened to the customers complaining, she realized that they weren’t stocking much. She didn’t know why Agatha was being stingy, but it seemed that she would need to have a chat with her.
At the same time, Andrea complained about the different prices for other items. When she heard that, she was furious, since that meant that someone was taking her money. She didn’t like where that was going at all.
While she was furious about all that and having Andrea do the quick math, Agatha, who was at a spa enjoying a luxurious service, received a panic call from her cousin she had hired to manage the second supermarket.

That’s all it took for Agatha to abandon her expensive treatment and drive her fancy car speedily towards the supermarket, overwhelmed with panic.
Diamond wasn’t the kind of person who liked going to the site frequently. She usually dealt with the businesses from a distance. Moreover, whenever she comes. She always informs beforehand. But why did she just go without telling her?
When Agatha thought about a few things she did, her back was drenched in cold sweat.
’I am done for!’ She simply prayed that Diamond would show mercy.
Agatha hit several red lights and didn’t even mind getting flagged by traffic cameras. She speedily made her way to the supermarket, and when she got there, she heard from her cousin that Diamond was waiting in the office.
Agatha nervously went there, and when she entered the office, a gloomy Diamond welcomed her.
Diamond had never been so furious about a person. She didn’t think that after repeated warnings about this kind of behavior, they would be someone so stubborn as to play such a trick on her.
Agatha sat in front of Diamond with her head lowered, feeling very ashamed and embarrassed. She didn’t know how to face Diamond at all.
Diamond looked at Agatha, who was one of her earliest employees. She remembered how she hired Agatha when there wasn’t even a shop, but just an online page. At that time, she only had chickens, and Agatha was managing the accounts.
Agatha worked pretty well, and as the business grew, she hired Cindy, who had a relationship with her previously before joining her family. However, to think that Agatha, who started with her and knew her principles, could get so greedy and do this to her. It felt unbelievable.
After learning about the price differences. Diamond had Andrea look into Agatha’s finances and the results were very much shocking.
No wonder she was reluctant to start something new and pushed Cindy into the new venture. Agatha was literally running her own supply market in her damn shop. How dare she profit from her own inventory?
"Agatha, do I give you a small wage?" Diamond asked with gritted teeth as she looked at Agatha, who still had her head lowered.
"No," a muffled response came.
"Then why? I have given you a lot of benefits, paid you well, and never mistreated you. So why? Why are you doing this to me?"
Diamond was one of the best-paying employers in the city, country and even globally.
The salary was lucrative, and, adding the bonuses to that, Agatha could even rival some of these executives working in these fancy office buildings. And yet, she still dared to go behind her back and steal from her.
"I gave everyone an opportunity to earn more money. You can use your damn savings to invest in the trading company and earn interest without making a move. Even if you don’t have savings, you can still get an advance from me or take a loan. But what did you do?" Diamond slammed the desk angrily as she started listing the number of crimes Agatha had committed, thinking that she wouldn’t be caught.
"Not only did you change prices and gain from it, but you shamelessly used the business money for your own gain. You didn’t hire the appropriate number of staff and made my supermarket a laughingstock. Where is the money that you said was paid as salaries? Where are the damn staff?
If you can play games when the supermarket has just opened, then what about the first supermarket? I don’t even wanna talk about the wonderful things that you did over there. Don’t even think about including Cindy. Since I dared look into your deals, I did the same for her as well."
When Agatha heard that, she started panicking. She didn’t think that Diamond would be so thorough. She once talked about how she could do that, but actually didn’t do it. So, she tried her luck. Who knew that one day things would backfire like that?
"No .... Listen to me, Diamond. I didn’t mean to do it," Agatha started pleading for mercy, her hands clasped together. "It was the devil ..... yes ... it’s the devil. Please forgive me. I won’t do it again!" she pleaded shamelessly, which made Diamond feel infuriated more.
How come people always blame the devil whenever they commit sins?
