"Husband, what are you thinking?"
At the name ’husband’ his green eyes went completely dark, he returned my question with a smile, and a wicked glint sparked in his eyes. He leaned to me, his thumb resting on my bottom lip which caused my chewing action to stop.
"How skillful those lips of yours can be" he mused, a flood of confusion washed upon me.
"I love watching you eat... now continue and don’t mind me staring" he changed the topic, before leaning back on the chair.
I skeptically resumed eating , my mind still lingering on what he said and what he meant. I could still feel his burning gaze on me as I continued digging, I wasn’t sure I could take any more of this delicious food again. I groaned rubbing my belly, I was stuffed, I took a glass of water chugging it.
"Nicklaus, I don’t think I can eat anymore," I said, groaning.
"Are you sure you’re full?"
"Yes... you don’t expect me to finish all this do you?"
"I was hoping you would"
"What? I do not have 10 stomachs... beside my appetite would only increase when I’m -" I paused.
He frowned. "When you’re what?" he urged me to continue.
"I-It’s nothing" I forced my smile. "Shall we go to bed now, I’m very tired", he glanced at me for some seconds, he didn’t seem to buy it was nothing, I gulped, I have forgotten how attentive Nicklaus can be when it comes to me.
"I’m nervous," I began with a sigh. "About tomorrow... I do not know how to be Empress to your people"
"Yelena" he drew close to me, leaning down to me and taking my hand in his. "Our people" he corrected. "And you, my love, is exactly what they need... do not let such position weigh you now, I’m with you every step of the way"
I smiled. "That makes me confident... but I’m still nervous".
"They will love you, trust me," he says, pulling some strands of my hair behind my ear, then pressing a soft kiss on my lips. "Now bed", I gasped when he carried me in his arms.
"Sleep now and let tomorrow come, don’t bore on it too much"
"Yes husband," I said, brushing my nose against his.
He took us to bed, we both laid on it, he pulled the covers against us. "Will you be here when I wake up?"
"Sadly no my love, but I shall await you at the throne room, my Empress," he said before claiming my lips, when he called me his empress I felt a spark in my body and it made me happy.
His arm wrapped around me in a firm hold, my head rested against his chest, the lit torches in the room automatically dimmed but I knew it was Nicklaus’ doing.
My eyes feel sad, I regretted lying to him because I did, I should talk with him about it but I knew it wasn’t the right thing, he was already used to the fact of not being able to have children and me saying it to him won’t be a good idea, he should believe I understand, that was the only way.

How long have I been asleep? I couldn’t tell but it seemed long enough to me, I still felt Nicklaus’ arms around me, I was turned to my side now and he was now hugging me from behind.
"Yelena" he whispered to my ears, I shivered at his deep voice.
"You said you won’t be here when I wake up"
"There’s still time and besides" he took a deep sniff at my neck. "It’s hard to leave... your scent is intoxicating," he said like in a trance. "Let us skip the ceremony and just be in bed"
I giggled at his words. "That won’t do my Emperor... we have Vampires already here for the ceremony right?"
He made a hmm sound. "So let us not do that"
He grunted cupping my breast with his hand. I gasped as my nipples hardened at his sensitive touch.
"You possess me woman... what spell do you have on me?"
"Love" I mused.
"More than that my beloved... you have my soul" his hand trailed down to my thighs sliding beneath my nighty, caressing my core, I jolted at the feeling.
"How sensitive you’re..."
"B-Because it’s you," I said softly. "Only you"
"Yes... because you’re mine"
"Yes yours" I shivered when I felt something sharp in my neck, I realized it was his fangs, but then he pulled away.
"Don’t!" I said holding onto him, as I faced him, I couldn’t see his face properly because it was dark but I knew he was on edge, I knew he carved my blood and I wanted him to have it.
I pulled my silver hair behind, exposing my neck to him. There was prolonged silence from him, I bit my lip nervously, wondering if I was doing the right thing.
"Always so submissive" I finally heard him say.
"Only for you", I gasped when he turned me back to my side, I felt his breath on my neck once again, and then I knew.
"Only you make my beast roars"
The next was my screams as his fangs pierced my skin, he pinned my back to his chest tightly as his fangs went deeper, his hand caressing my body sensually, his touches were intense as he drew my blood. I was lost in gratification, as my screams turned into sounds of pleasure until I didn’t make a sound just my lips apart as my body was washed with pleasure, the tingling sensation from where his fangs were connected to my skin was like sparks of contentment.
Suddenly I felt my vision blurry that was when he pulled away with a growl and then sucked on the wound. My body shivered. All I knew then was sleep because I was so weak after that.
He whispered loving words to my ears, raining kisses to my neck, it felt like a lullaby to me, because a good flush of sleep found me, I was still locked in his arms feeling safer than ever.
