Chapter 13: Coercing with Powerful Abilities
"Sister, it's my privilege to join you guys!"
Shaan declared, patting his chest.
His bid to infiltrate the small team was finally successful.
After officially joining, there was another round of formal introduction.
With some trivial talks, soon Shaan easily integrated into their group.
"Shaan, I need to tell you there are different types of zombies, generally they are classified based on their strength, from first to tenth order, therefore the zombie crystals we get from them also follows the same corresponding order."
Sabrina was full of smiles.
'Hmm, now that I am standing so close to her, it's only now that I noticed her legs are quite long, and her eyes so deep blue, she could definitely have been a model.'
'Alice has average height but her body is fleshy and well developed at places where it should be and as for quiet Leona...hmmm, she seems to be your ideal cold President type, repelling men just from miles away, such girls are well-known to be cold on outside and hot on inside.
'Back on earth, such girls doing roleplay would have made countless youngsters nosebleed to death.'
Blindly nodding his head, Shaan's thoughts were entirely on something else, admiring all the girl's capital.
"I got it, but sister, how strong is everyone here? And do we have any special abilities, I see you guys are not scared of those vicious zombies in the slightest!"
Shaan questioned in a low voice, it was time to probe the strength of this group of people.
The better you know the strength of your potential enemies, the more the better.
Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer!
"Oh, it's okay! Now that you are one of us. It's okay to disclose this information to you!"
Sabrina chuckled like it didn't matter.
"After a human starts absorbing the zombie crystal, he is called an evolver. When one reaches the level of first-order evolver, they automatically awaken a special ability. As for me, I am a second-order evolver, my special ability is the power of ice."
As soon as Sabrina finished her words, a ball of small ice suddenly condensed in her hands, with a flick of her finger, she hurled the small snowball at Shaan's face before laughing,
"How is it?"
Feeling the sudden cool on his face and seeing from his eyes, Shaan suddenly had a new outlook on the power system of this world.
'It seems if sufficient preparation is not made in advance, you won't even know when you are dead.'
Shaan was inwardly happy that the secret backer he had casually found to leech off seemed a bit strong.
Seeing him standing dazed, Sabrina thought the little boy was so impressed after witnessing her ability that he was at a loss for words.
Giggle~
With a wink, she spoke to others standing alongside her.
"Guys, you also tell him about your strength. I can already see that Shaan's secret ability to find food would be very useful to us."
"He may be feeling a little insecure, showing off your strength can help relieve the stress in his heart."
Sabrina's instructions were crystal clear, her tone and gaze carried a hidden intention only her followers were aware of.
She didn't want anything to happen to their newfound golden chicken.
After working with their leader for so long, everyone clearly understood Sabrina's instructions.
To them, her order was direct and domineering- Show off your strength in front of this weak boy and leave him in awe and full of panic so he never harbours the intention to ever leave their team.
Let him honestly be a slave for them for eternity.
Mark was the first to come forward, with a wide grin on his face, he spoke,
"I am also a second-order evolver. My special ability is increasing my muscular strength for a period of time."
Without wasting any time, the muscles of his arm started bulging, in excitement, he bent and punched the barren road below leaving a big crack from impact.
Mark was sure with his performance this frail boy would be scared to the fullest.
"Haha, don't worry! This is just a demonstration, my strength is only used when we face an enemy or someone betrays or cheats us."
He put extra stress on his last words, making sure he conveyed his meaning to Shaan.
"Now it's my turn!"
Luther was the second guy coming forward.
"My ability is quite unique, it's called foresight!"
"I can see various approaching enemies from a distance as well as their accurate strength and some superficial weaknesses through my eyes, I am also second order."
"Even if someone dares to run in front of me, my eyes can chase his fleeting figure for kilometres."
Luther spoke viciously as if saying- You can't dare to run in front of me boy, it's of no use.
"Now that stinky men are over, it's our turn."
Alice, full of her liveliness, jumped at the front pushing Luther aside.
"I am a first-level evolver, my ability is team buff."
She hurriedly closed his hands and started meditating, soon Shaan found himself enveloped in a strange calming light.
He felt his physical strength as well as body cells reaching their potential under Alice's supporting light.
"I can only shortly buff two people for some minutes, plus my ability can work only up to a few metres, but if I become a second-level evolver, maybe I can buff our entire team."
Alice spoke with a strong sense of yearning in her voice.
"Hmm, it seems I also need to talk this time."
After Alice, it was Leona's turn.
The cold Iceberg beauty, simply spoke few words,
"Strength- second order evolver, ability- speed, I will take rest now.....I am feeling tired!"
Just as she finished speaking, she disappeared from her original position and appeared outside of her makeshift tent.
Shaan only felt a blur in front of his eyes, Leon's movement was too fast for his eyes to notice.
'She is perfect to do those sneaky tasks or to ruthlessly perform secret assassinations.'
