Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop] Chapter 37

Chapter 37—Killing

Slime#47 glanced at the two-story wooden house built in a medieval style, "It’s time to finish them," he mused, dashing toward the building—Wob!

Just as he was about to smash the entrance and force himself inside, a transparent barrier manifested in front of him and zapped him with an electric shock—Zzz!

The shock sent him flying backward—Thud! He landed three meters from the entrance. Smoke drifted from his jelly body.

"Ouch... I didn’t sense that," he winced, rubbing burnt areas with his tiny palms. He scowled, grimacing in pain.

’Guess...I can’t sense every damn barrier,’ he mused, deciding to ask Elder Slime for a skill to detect such barriers.

Wob!—He bounced back toward the entrance and "Acid Fist,"—Crack!—Crack!—the barrier fractured as he slammed his fist into it.

The barrier cracked and shattered into small pieces that burned away like paper—Gzz!—slowly drifting down.

He then smashed through the wooden door—Bam!—and broke inside.

"Hhahah," lazy laughter echoed through the house.

’They are way too carefree,’ he mused as Wob!—he silently moved toward the sound, climbed the central stairs, and reached the second floor.

There were few rooms, but the noise made his choice easy. He slowly opened a door and peeked inside—Cra!—

’It’s a kitchen and a dining room,’ he mused, glancing over the entire room.

"I didn’t expect this world to be so developed," he muttered, eyeing a kitchen that looked almost modern.

Something was getting cooked in the oven, in a corner of the room, as the lady chopped vegetables at the front worktop.

The eldest son was washing dishes in the sink.

"No time to delay—Appraisal," he used his skill. He wanted to check the young man’s level; if he couldn’t defeat him, he’d run.

He didn’t want any risks now, as he was close to ending the novice stage.

"Easy-peasy, he is trash for being only level 9 at twenties," he mocked the blonde in relief as he could finish them here.

He Wob!—slipped into the room, and flashed behind the woman, and "Acid Fist," slammed his glowing grey fist into her head—Crack!

’Done,’ he thought internally, as her head smashed into pieces with blood splattered all over the kitchen, and Thud!—her body fell to the ground.

[ Ding! You have killed a human! ]

"Ahhh," the young man screamed, horrified. He had pivoted toward the sound—found his mother’s headless corpse falling to the ground.

"%^%VF*^^," the blonde yelled in panic, dropping to his knees.

His begging was useless; Slime#47 couldn’t understand his gibberish.

Whoosh!—He flashed in front of the man and "Acid Fist," smashed his fist into the man’s head—Bam!—ending his life by turning him into a headless corpse like his mother.

[ Ding! You have killed a human! ]

Thud!—man’s body fell to the ground.

That was the last sound he heard before his vision dimmed.

’Damn, blacking out again...but finally everyone is killed,’ he mused, falling unconscious while grinning.

He’d wanted to kill that young man when he had thrown him into the garbage, and that slime farm woman, who didn’t take pity on the slimes and kept harvesting them for jelly, even knowing they would die if done excessively.

-----

He opened his eyes, recovering a little but still feeling tired.

Elder Slime, Mama Slime, and Little Slime came into view as he regained consciousness.

"How are you? Are you fine?" Mama Slime asked with concern, hugging him.

"I’m fine... I’m fine," he replied. He checked himself to see if he still had burnt marks.

’Huh?... burnt scars are gone,’ he was a little surprised.

"I healed you," Elder Slime said, noticing the young slime checking himself.

"Thanks, Elder," he said, nodding at old slime.

"Did you search the house? If that young brat hid a crate full of crystals, the family might’ve hidden even more," he said, excitement brimming within.

"No, we were waiting for you," Elder Slime wobbled. They wanted to give honors to the young slime who had handled the big guys.

Young Slime smiled. ’Time for treasure hunting.’

"I’ll find crystals for Boss Slime," Little Slime shouted excitedly, requesting Slime#47’s permission, which Young Slime nodded to.

"Thanks, Boss Slime... Woo," Little Slime—Wob!—bounced out joyfully, picking a room randomly to check.

Young Slime picked one room; Mama Slime and Little Slime picked others.

Soon, they searched the entire second floor but found nothing. The upstairs rooms were just bedrooms; the last corner room was a balcony with a peaceful village view.

In the balcony room....

’So..this is a village...’ he mused, seeing rice paddies, crops, and cattle farms—agriculture lands.

"I thought I freed all the slime farms," he fumed as he spotted more slime farms from the balcony.

’So there are more slime abusers... I only killed one scumbag.’ He clenched his fists, deciding to free all slimes.

"I will create chaos to escape... and pull those slimes while escaping," he planned, glancing at the village.

Soon, they checked every corner of the second floor—to make sure they hadn’t missed a secret chamber or compartment—but found nothing.

With Old Slime, Little Slime, and Mama Slime, he descended to the first floor, which had a living room, an entertainment room, a dressing room, and a storeroom.

In the entertainment room, he spotted a white screen on the front wall and a crystal orb a meter away.

"What’s this?" he muttered. ’This world... has a white screen? Don’t tell me there are also magic rage bait short videos....’ He mused, touching the soft orb.

"It’s a projector, created by otherworlders," Elder Slime replied, noticing his doubtful look. "Whenever important people, like kings or saints, want to inform people of something, they broadcast via magic. The orb receives and projects it on the screen."

"It’s indeed useful at such times," Young Slime nodded, feeling it would help a lot.

Elder Slime added, "They also sell recording orbs, which hold interesting and fascinating stories. Otherworlders call them... ’Movies.’"

’Movies, huh... at least I won’t die of boredom in future loops.’ Slime#47 mused, thinking he should watch movies of this world.

Just then—

"Found it! Boss Slime, there’s a box!" Little Slime shouted, excitement echoing.

Old Slime smiled at Little Slime’s energy. "Let’s check it out."

Wob!—Wob!

They went to a dressing room and, in the wardrobe behind a hanging tunic, they found a crate.

They placed it on the floor.

Little Slime squeaked, "Ahhh!" trying to lift the crate lid—but it was locked tight.

Young Slime jumped and—Crack!—pried it open by breaking the metal lock.

They eagerly peered inside. Mama Slime and Elder Slime couldn’t resist peeking in as well.

End of the Chapter.
