Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop] Chapter 5

Chapter 5—First Death

’Oh my! I sure can understand their happiness despite not knowing their language,’ Ganesh looked on as they chatted while grinning with joy.

The woman spoke a few words with the man and walked away.

The rough man came near him, which made him panic, ’Don’t kill me! I am less than one hour old.’

He bounced with all his might, but the man swiftly caught him and picked him up.

’Next loop, I am coming,’ Ganesh closed his eyes in panic.

The man said thoughtfully, "Xhbhujhh% Slime#47."

Ganesh felt a warm rush of energy within him as—Ding!—a blue panel popped up in front of his vision.

[ Ding!

You have been named Slime#47! ]

’So, it’s just naming, but what the heck is this name? I seem to be a labrat! As far as I know, only specimens will be named with numbers like unknown creature #1.’ He brooded in annoyance and anger. He really didn’t like the name.

But his wrath didn’t last long as—Ding!—another panel shimmered, appearing in his eyes.

[ Ding! Mana wasn’t fully provided to embed the name!

The name Slime #47 will be only temporary! ]

’Puff, glad! I won’t share the code name with a certain agent for long,’ He was relieved with a grin.

After giving him a head pat—Thup!—which shook Slime#47’s body, the rough man went on to other slimes.

"&*gdb,"

"DJgy*^&,"

He said in incomprehensible language, while pointing his hand at the slimes, as white light emitted from his hand and disappeared into the slimes.

’So, he’s naming the newborn slimes like me, the ones that won’t get one should be old ones,’ he understood.

He glanced around in relief; he almost felt his core would shatter before—in fear.

’Where did the woman go by the way?’ He mused, lying on the ground. He wanted them to go away so that he could train.

------

After the man named all the newborn slimes, he left the field as the woman returned with a sack and a dagger.

Glancing at the sharp-looking edge of the blade, Slime#47 wondered what they were going to do next, as he felt they wouldn’t kill him—no one gave a moniker to just murder them right away.

She walked toward the slimes bouncing in front of her and caught one.

The slime didn’t move away, resting in her arms affectionately.

’It seems an old slime,’ He remembered that the man didn’t name it.

Whoosh!—Whoosh! The dagger flashed as she sliced the slime’s body.

A jelly-like substance fell on the ground, as the slime in her hands went from 30 cm to 10 cm.

’Damn! That slime looks like it went to the gym while dieting,’ Slime#47 mused, feeling that thing turned even cuter due to being toned down in size.

The woman picked jelly parts from the ground and placed them in her sack after placing the little cutie on the ground.

She then picked up a little bit of jelly and threw it into her mouth.

"A(&&###," She said with a grin.

’Is it that delicious?’ Slime#47 felt his decision to be born as slime would be very devastating if his race were to be so tasty.

She then went from one slime to another as her dagger flashed—Whoosh!—Whoosh!

’It doesn’t seem painful,’ He noticed that no slime was screaming in pain. He understood that it might be like shearing sheep.

As he looked at harvesting of slime’s jelly—all of a sudden—he was picked up by a kid.

’When did he pop up? Unhand me, brat,’ Slime#47 felt a strong grip on his viscous body.

He couldn’t move, much less escape!

He tried to look behind him, his eyes moved from his upper corner section of body to the top, letting him see from the gaps of the kid’s fingers.

’I didn’t know that I could move my eyes.’ He didn’t find it surprising, as he was in even more danger.

A blond-haired kid of twelve years old or thirteen years in a neat woollen tunic appeared in his vision.

Slime#47 had been focused on the woman that he didn’t even notice a kid leaping over the fence to the field from the other side.

"Uh#$$," The kid said with a smile, pulling a dagger from his belt with his other hand.

"I#$##," The woman yelled, threw the slime in her hands to the ground, and rushed towards him.

’Quick! old woman, save me, I hope you have good legs.’ He’d hoped that she would be a fast sprinter.

"Dyu##$$," The kid smirked, as he—Puk!—stabbed the Slime#47.

"It hurts, it hurts, brat," He screamed as he felt his core being cracked. A sharp burning pain spread across his body.

[ Ding! Your core has been destroyed!

You are dead! ]

He turned into a pool of goo as he fell to the ground from the kid’s palm.

"Hq#$$<" The woman yelled, and—Thud!—smashed his head.

—Thud!—Thud!—woman smacking the kid’s head was the last thing Slime#47 witnessed as his vision darkened.

------

Slime#47 found himself in the black void once again as he glanced blindly at the nothingness for a few seconds.

Then he was surprised as he was in his slime body, unlike the human body of his previous life.

’Damn it,’ He yelled internally, as he felt annoyed that he died so quickly in the first loop.

He didn’t even get the info about the world.

He fumed that a puny kid killed him; if he’d been in his previous human body, he was confident that he would have kicked that kid’s ass.

[ Ding! Timeline 78521452224.1 has ended! ]

A red shimmering panel popped up in his vision.

[ Begin Timeline 78521452224.2? ]

[—Y— or —N—!]

After he’d calmed down after taking a deep breath, he then clicked —Y— on the panel.

[—Timeline 78521452224.2 is beginning! ]

The new cycle began.

-------

"Status," he shouted in his mind before even his vision could adjust.

[ Name: Slime#47 {Temporary}

Titles: N/A.

Level: 1

Strength: G-

’Slime#47? I thought it would disappear,’ He’d felt that due to getting into the new loop, his name would be removed, but it didn’t much to his dismay.

He tapped on each attribute to get a better understanding. A new panel popped up showing details.

[ Ding!

Plain strength, what you’d expect?

He quickly glanced at the attributes; he didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.

"Skills," he said, he felt that there should be another menu for skills.

Just as he’d expected—Ding!—a new panel shimmered in his vision.

[ Skills:

—Demon Tongue {Legendary}—

Allows the user to understand the language of demons ranging from slimes to hobgoblins, orcs, to demonic dragons!

Both writing and speaking! ]

’I see,’ He realized why he could understand slimes, but not humans—they were not included in that skill.

’No more?’ He was disappointed to have only one auxiliary skill.

He then shifted his focus to his traits. "Traits," as a new panel appeared—Ding!—responding to his words.

[ Traits:

—Viscous Body—

A body made of jelly—and can change between liquid and solid.

—Amorphous Being—

A being with no fixed form nor a gender.

—Eternal Mastery—.....]

He’d felt they were not extraordinary except for the one chosen.

I should escape from that kid,’ He mused, feeling that it might be easy-peasy. It should be jumping into the woman’s hands.

"I am your mama, child," The mama slime snapped him out of his thoughts.

-------

Events repeated like the previous loop.

Two humans entered the field, but one incident turned out to be different.

"AHgg#$$," Rough man said dubiously, glancing at the Slime#47 in his hands.

’Go away! dude, I am not gay,’ Slime#47 mused, hoping nothing would go wrong.
