However, it didn’t even last a second. The octopus broke out, spreading its tentacles with brute force. Flames from its tentacles caught the demonic vines and burned them, freeing the other two monsters.
Actually, the fox monster didn’t require the octopus’s help. She was close to breaking free on her own with her armored arms.
"Damn... as I suspected." He muttered, exhaustion seeping into his voice.
No matter what energy source was used, those dark flames could burn them all.
’Blue Elemental Variation... aura skills, magic skills, and even true magic demonic force catches fire from it.’ He fumed, feeling all his hard work was wasted.

"Yes," Slime#47 nodded. He had just said he met an opponent whose flames could burn everything, but he didn’t expect Old Slime to figure out it was a sealed artifact ability.
"Yes. True magic is the greatest power a mortal being can wield, but it still pales in comparison to sealed artifacts," Elder Slime explained with a sigh. "Sealed artifacts are the strongest under the gods. It is due to this, many flock to wield them, despite the risk of corruption."
"Then how do I fight them?" Young Slime asked, exhaustion weighing on him.
"Overpower. That flame can burn anything, but have you tried using more energy to counter it? Can it keep burning?" Old Slime asked back, glancing at the doubtful Slime#47.
"But his reserves are higher than mine," Young Slime lamented.
"The only other option left is still overpowering, but with the element as water; Since, at the end, flames are flames," Old Slime said, wanting to teach the counter.

Young Slime felt he’d had enough, so instead of going into Ruins City Lunxia, he picked the spot of Arica Lotus pond, slaughtered Aqua Crocodile, and settled down there.
It was a good area. Only a few weak adventurers would appear there.
’The strongest nearby is the Dancing Lightning party,’ he mused with a cold grin, as he was confident he could defeat even the captain, as he wouldn’t let him use the sealed artifact. Since he already knew he had one.
’I won’t be foolish enough to wait for him to unleash a sealed artifact,’ Slime#47 thought confidently.

An army of a hundred soldiers rushed to Oakfield Village on warhorses. Soon, they reached the entrance road of the village.
"I heard the young lord entered this village to kill slimes for leveling up," a skinny soldier with a face similar to a monkey said with a grin.
"Yeah! Nobles sure have it easy..." a nearby bulky soldier beside him replied enviously.
Baron Blackwell’s army had arrived to collect Oakfield Village’s taxes.
