Luo Xiu picked up his jacket from the back of the lounger and paused for a little before he took off.
"Where is she?"
"Oh? Who?"
"… …"
"? ?" The little assistant searched through his brain for a few seconds before he had it figured out. "Oh, you mean Gu Nian? Director Lin was looking for her and called her away while you were filming."
"No wonder she isn't here."
"Do you need her for something?"
Luo Xiu paused a little but didn't answer. "I will wait for her in the lounge. Have her come look for me when she returns."
The little assistant stopped what he was doing and stared at Luo Xiu dubiously. "Brother Luo, do you really have… whatchamacallit for that little screenwriter?"
"What do you mean by whatchamacallit?"
"Well… you know!"

Luo Xiu had never even looked up once. Among the coldness in his voice was a hint of weariness. The little assistant was driven insane by his mild reaction and hopped over to in front of Luo Xiu.
"It could only mean one thing! That she has impure intention toward you! You can't fall for that fox demon! She has a boyfriend! Any way you look at it, you are the one who has a lot to lose!"
Luo Xiu finally looked up. There were light and deep smiles wavering in his eyes. Chuckling, he asked, "Me? A lot to lose?"
"MMHMM!" The little assistant nodded frantically.
"How so?"
"Just look at how she behaves around you in public. It was obvious that a temporary fling is all she is after! As soon as the filming is over and she is done taken advantage of you, she is going to pat her butt and goes back to her boyfriend. You would have lost both your body and emotions and end up with nothing!"
"Then all I need to do is to make her mine and that will be that."
"Oh, that is true…"
The little assistant stopped talking abruptly and whipped his head around in shock—
"? ? ?"
"Are you serious, Brother Luo??"
"… …"
Luo Xiu closed up his eyeglass case slowly.
With a light clicking sound, he lifted his head and looked up. The smile in his eyes were gentle as usual.
"I am just kidding."
"… …"
"She mentioned earlier that she wanted to talk to me about something. So don't forget to tell her that I am in the lounge."
"… … … …"
The little assistant froze on the spot and he watched Luo Xiu walked away from him.
Zhou Hanyu only recollected himself when the dry heat in the mountain was carried inside of the studio by a breeze and he shuddered under the hot temperature.
He looked down and rubbed away the goose bumps on his arms that came out of nowhere.
"… … Dang. Why do I feel that something is going to happen?"

It was New Year Eve. Ever since fireworks in the city had been banned, New Year Eve has been so quiet.
I wonder if the New Year card that I have sent to my precious son will make it in time. I hope my precious son can feel the deep love form his mother through the card.
Especially that scarf! It took me three months but I finally had it figured out!! Wuu wuu wuu wuu. I am such a useless mom. T ^ T
My mom discovered the scarf that I was knitting when I was finishing it up yesterday and she thought I have a boyfriend.
Hmm. I'll just let her keep the beautiful misunderstanding. Ever since I have dropped out school, she had always worried that I am being too withdrawn and depressed. I feel fine, but she is still worried about me.
Such is the love from a mother. It's amazing.
