"Scary, huh? Are you sure you understood the movie?"
Qin Tian burst into laughter at Lu Qing, then mimicked how she covered her eyes with one hand during the movie, looking terrified with her eyes tightly shut, and laughed, "You spent half of the movie time with your eyes closed... I’m just speechless."
"I was scared," Lu Qing said as she playfully hit Qin Tian, sounding annoyed.
"Scared and yet you watch horror movies?" Qin Tian was dumbfounded.
"I just want to watch, okay? I like horror movies. What’s wrong with that?" Lu Qing snorted.
"Sure, sure, of course you can." Qin Tian was speechless. "I really don’t understand you women, feeling scared yet insisting on watching horror movies... What kind of psychology is that!"
"That’s a beauty’s psychology, something you wouldn’t understand!"
The pair left the cinema, and Qin Tian escorted Lu Qing to the front of the hotel where she had made a reservation.
"Aren’t you going to escort me upstairs?" Lu Qing turned to Qin Tian, saying, "Going back to the room alone, what if a strange man in the hallway drags me away? It’s dangerous for a girl like me to go up alone, are you really okay with that?"
Wow, Qin Tian was truly speechless now. When had Lu Qing become so eloquent?
"Fine, fine, I’ll take you upstairs, back to your room. I’d like to see that strange man try to drag you away."
Helpless, Qin Tian escorted Lu Qing back to her hotel room.
It was a single room. After Lu Qing put her things away, she said, "Okay, you can leave now, see you tomorrow."
That woman, always changing her mind. I just brought you back to your room, and even before I could sit down, you’re kicking me out?
Checking the time, it was past one in the morning, so Qin Tian could only get up and head out: "Rest early, see you tomorrow."
"Okay, take care on your way, don’t let any beauties rob you of your charm, hehe." Lu Qing waved Qin Tian off at the door.
Qin Tian forced a smile, thinking this gorgeous woman seemed to be in a good mood.
Just as Qin Tian rounded the corner in the hallway, he suddenly heard a scream!
It was Lu Qing’s voice!
Frowning, Qin Tian immediately turned back to Lu Qing’s room door, knocked on it, and asked loudly, "Sister Qing, open the door, what happened?!"
The room door opened, and Lu Qing rushed out and hugged Qin Tian, her face pale with fright, "There’s a spider in the room, a huge spider!"
Qin Tian was both amused and incredulous; all that scream for just a spider? He had thought there was a murderer.
"Um, could you not hold me so tight? I might get shy," Qin Tian coughed lightly.
Only then did Lu Qing realize she might have overreacted, her face flushed as she said, "Qin Tian, come and look, there’s a huge spider in the bathroom, it’s so scary! Please get rid of it for me!"
Lu Qing pulled Qin Tian into the bathroom, and sure enough, there was a black spider next to the toilet. However, the spider was only about the size of a pinky finger, and Qin Tian couldn’t see what was so big about it.
"I was just about to use the bathroom, and I saw that thing as I went in... it scared me to death..."
It seemed Lu Qing really was terrified of spiders, her voice was filled with excitement as she hid behind Qin Tian.
"You’re so big and scared of this little thing?"
Qin Tian looked at her, a teasing expression on his face.
"Don’t laugh!" she said. "Just get rid of it!"
Qin Tian chuckled, strode forward, and squashed it with his foot!
The spider tried to run upon sensing danger, but Qin Tian had anticipated its move. His stomp was forceful and effective.
"Done?" Qin Tian turned around, lifted his foot, and saw nothing but a small, disgusting mass of spider remains on the ground.
"Ew, that’s so gross." Seeing the spider’s corpse, Lu Qing covered her mouth, "So cruel, so disgusting..."
"It was you who asked me to kill it."
Qin Tian rinsed the spider’s remains down the drain with the faucet, then turned around and said, "It’s getting late, let’s sleep early. We’ll contact each other by phone tomorrow."
After speaking, Qin Tian started walking out.
Suddenly, Lu Qing screamed again.
"What’s wrong now? Is there another spider?" Qin Tian, exasperated, noted that Lu Qing’s screams were quite loud; his ears were still buzzing.
In front of Qin Tian, Lu Qing made a pitiful face and said, "I, I’m scared... That horror movie was so terrifying. Now, every time I close my eyes, I see those horrifying scenes from the movie. Qin Tian, I’m scared..."
Upon hearing Lu Qing’s words, Qin Tian almost spat out blood in frustration.
Ugh, if you were so scared, why did you insist on watching a horror movie even when I suggested a foreign film when we were buying the tickets?
Now look what happened; you intended to scare someone else but ended up scaring yourself.
"What can I do about it?" Qin Tian shrugged, "This is your inner fear. I can’t help with that."
"Can you, can you not leave tonight?"
Lu Qing looked at Qin Tian with a pleading face, her voice carrying a request, "I’m really scared. If you leave, I definitely won’t be able to sleep..."
Qin Tian raised an eyebrow and looked around the room. There was only one bed and the space wasn’t big. If I don’t leave, how are we supposed to sleep tonight?
"Don’t go..." Seeing Qin Tian hesitate, Lu Qing coquettishly pleaded with him.
"I’m fed up with you, alright, I won’t leave."
Since you don’t mind, why should I? Well, if I’m taken advantage of by you, cough cough, I guess I’ll just accept it.
Qin Tian came back, closed the door, and sat down on the bed, chuckling, "If I’m not leaving, then we might as well sleep together?"
"Ah?" It was as if Lu Qing had just realized the situation, then she scanned the bed and furrowed her brows.
F*ck, you only realize now that there’s only one bed here? Qin Tian was speechless. Who are you kidding; it’s obvious you want to sleep with me tonight.
Seeing Lu Qing’s hesitant look, Qin Tian felt amused. You were the one who asked me to stay, so even if you ask me to leave now, I’m not going anywhere.
Smirking, Qin Tian said, "Take your time to ponder about life; I’m going to take a shower."
"Why, why are you taking a shower?" Lu Qing panicked.
"Well, taking a shower means getting clean. What do you think I’m planning to do?" Qin Tian said with a meaningful tone.
Lu Qing blushed, biting her lip, unsure of what to say.
Qin Tian hummed a tune in the bathroom as he showered, sounding very cheerful, while Lu Qing outside was a bit embarrassed.
You really kept Qin Tian here? Then, how are we going to sleep? On the same bed?
Thinking about it, Lu Qing’s face grew even redder.
It’s not that she was repulsed by the idea of sharing a bed with Qin Tian, but sleeping together as a man and a woman, especially when they weren’t dating, might not be seen in a good light.
