As he was watching her, he noticed that while she was preparing breakfast, she frowned a little, then smiled a little. After she fished out her cellphone, she mumbled something… and finally pulled up the calculator. It looked like she had punched a series of numbers inside of it…
Huo Sishen raised his brows.
Whatever was she doing?
Judging from what he was seeing, he was to have a sandwich for breakfast today.
Was it that complicated? Was she calculating his calories with the calculator?
Huo Sishen squinted, and his thin lips stuck out a little.
Okay, not too bad.
Even if the taste wasn’t all that, but at least her attitude was worthy of praise.
He turned around and walked upstairs to take a shower. He changed and walked back downstairs for his breakfast after he was all cleaned.
Gu Shishi was no longer in the kitchen.
He saw the smiley face drawn on the plate with mustard, and his lips twitched a little.
His cellphone that was sitting on the table vibrated immediately.
A message popped up.
[Mr. Huo, I have left your breakfast on the table, okay~ I poured you some orange juice. Have a good day at work today!]

Huo Sishen, his hand on his forehead, let out a loud chuckle all the way from his chest.
Siyi, who was walking from the kitchen to report to him, “…… ? ! !”
Was the boss laughing? Out loud?!

It was only 7 AM when Gu Shishi finished preparing breakfast.
She yawned and had planned to go back to the bedroom for some more sleep.
As she walked past the little garden, she happened to run into Butler Lin who was directing the workers to bring inside gifts for mid-autumn festival.
What Gu Shishi cared about the most right now were… gifts!
She was wide awake all of a sudden.
She walked over to Butler Lin and asked weakly while blushing what the gifts were… and most importantly, would she receive any of them.
As much as Butler Lin had been an elite butler for many years, he was stumped by that question.
“Miss Gu, these are gifts prepared for the employees at the mansion as part of their employee benefit.”
He looked perturbed. He made his purchase based on the number of employees at the mansion and did have a couple extras. But he never heard of the mistress of the house wanting to be included in employee benefits before!
“Eh? You mean I don’t get one?”
Gu Shishi got Butler Lin’s meaning right away. She was stunned all of a sudden.
He looked down at the items inside of the box, and they looked to be very fanciful gift boxes.
She really would like to have one~
“Are… are these mooncakes?”
Butler Lin’s lips twitched.
What was going on? Did Miss Gu have any self-awareness as the madam of a house?
“Yes, these are mooncake gift boxes. There’s also a 500 yuan gift card inside of each of them.”
He regretted immediately as soon as he was done saying that.
Gu Shishi had looked up at him with a very hurtful look on her! There was immense hurt in her eyes.
Five hundred yuan? That’s half a day of life for her. Why didn’t she get any?
Whyyyyy? Why nooooot?
“Butler Lin, have you forgotten? I am cooking three meals a day for the young master of the house… and, before that, I weeded the garden and almost had an allergic reaction… I cleaned the living room… and I even have a set of my own maid outfit!”
Gu Shishi gave him the I-am-definitely-part-of-the-crew assertive look.
“I am part of the family, Butler Lin!
“Now why would you do this to me? Are you sure I don’t get one? There is a locker with my name on it in the cleaning supply room, don’t you remember?”
Butler Lin felt that he was about to go bald. He didn’t really understand what was going through the young master’s mind before. But now he was fairly certain that Miss Gu’s status was way more than that of a female servant to the young master.
Alright, it was just a gift that they were talking about…
“Alright, Miss Gu, you can have a set if you like.”He had on him a constipated look. “But, if the young master ever asked about it. Can you please let him know that this was not my original intention?”
If the young master found out that he gave Miss Gu a set of gifts meant for the servants at home, he would definitely be labelled as someone who had been disrespectful of the future madam.
