“Stay in a hotel temporarily and had to the island with you when the day comes,” came Huo ChuChu’s lowered voice quickly.
Gu Shishi was taken aback. “Your mother’s birthday banquet? Next Sunday?”
She didn’t receive an invitation; neither did the boss.

It all made sense now why the boss didn’t send them an invitation. Good for him!
If his mother didn’t want to recognize him as her son; he didn’t need to recognize her as his mother either!
“Alright, then. You be careful though. I’ll let you brother know and have the chauffeur come and pick you up then. Make sure you stay somewhere he can find you.”
Gu Shishi added the last part out of concern.
She was dazed after she had hung up on the phone.
Seemed it was time for her to step in and intervene.
