Mr . Zhang smiled, “About this matter, I hope you can forgive me . I have been busy with my work in the Netherworld Council . I couldn’t even leave for a second . His reply stunned Ye Shaoyang for a moment before he asked, “There are things that you don’t know about in this area?”

After listening to his words, Ye Shaoyang decided not to press the matter further . He asked, “By the way, did you hear the conversation between that lady and me, just before you entered?”
“I heard it from outside . The only thing I know is that the spirit is new here . It doesn’t have a nest . That’s all . ”
A new spirit… . Ye Shaoyang thought for some time, “What are its usual activities?”
“I don’t know,” answered Mr . Zhang as he shrugged at Ye Shaoyang, “Heavenly Master Ye, we both know that informant spirits are not universal . We don’t dare to investigate the background of certain evil beings, so far as to hide from them when we sensed their existence around us . That’s how I survive till today . ”
Ye Shaoyang nodded . That was true . When evil beings chose to cultivate in evil ways, they would kill anyone who got in their way, especially the informant spirits who acted like a reporter in the underworld; the evil beings would be more cautious to prevent them from knowing their present situation . Therefore, an informant spirit could only get the details of an evil being within certain limits .
“Alright . I guess I should stick to my plan and continue investigating,” said Ye Shaoyang politely, “Is there anything urgent you came here for?”
“Yup . Two important things . First, I represent the Netherworld Council to grant a soul binding chain to Heavenly Master Ye . Bingo, the one that you are holding right now . ”
Funny . He had the chain for quite some time already . Now, the Netherworld Council had just decided to grant him the chain . Nobody could take the chain away from him, not even Cui Fujun . Ye Shaoyang fell into deep thought and replied flatly, “I am not going . ”
Mr . Zhang seemed to expect his answer . He replied with a laugh, “Heavenly Master, this is the third time you have refused to receive your tablet; this is unprecedented . But why?”
“Not clear with my Daoism, not receiving the tablet . ” Ye Shaoyang replied in short .
“May I know what Daoism you are referring to?”
“My Daoism . Not related to anybody . What’s the problem with not receiving it?”
Mr . Zhang shrugged and said with embarrassment, “Heavenly Master Ye, you are much more powerful than a typical Heavenly Master, but you refuse to receive it . Although this won’t affect your power, you can’t collect more virtue of second life . ”
Ye Shaoyang laughed, “I am not planning to become an officer in the Netherworld Council after I die . What’s the purpose of collecting so much virtue of second life?”
Mr . Zhang gaped, looking from Ye Shaoyang to Xiao Ma . He began to speak but hesitated . “Go on . You can ignore my presence,” said Xiao Ma as he shook his hands .
With a wave, a structureless aura spread from Mr . Zhang and hit Xiao Ma, freezing the latter .
Only then did he speak, “Heavenly Master Ye, Cui Fujun wanted me to pass on this message; the Qi around the mortal world has begun to be thrown into disorder . We’d better be prepared as soon as possible . ”
Ye Shaoyang repeated the sentence in his mind, trying to understand . His eyebrows frowned heavily, “What does that mean?”
“I am not sure either . But Cui Fujun wants you to be well prepared for an important mission . ”
“What mission?”
Mr . Zhang extended his arms, “I don’t know . ”
Ye Shaoyang paused for a while, and said, “Fine . I will ask him personally when I go to the Netherworld Council . By the way, since when did an informant spirit like you work for Cui Fujun?”

“He is more powerful than you . So, you can’t stop him from doing that . ”

Ye Shaoyang shrugged, “He is not even a human, so he need not follow the human laws . If you are unhappy, you can punch his face next time . ”
“Hmph! He will taste my fist next time!” Xiao Ma snorted angrily .
“Alright . Let’s pay Teng Yongqing a visit . ”
When Ye Shaoyang turned his back to the door, a flash of golden light emerged from his chest . He blanked momentarily before he reached out; he felt a hard object and took it out . It was a Heavenly Master Tablet, which emitted a dazzling gold light for a few moments before it gradually cooled down .
Mr . Zhang’s voice appeared outside the window, “Heavenly Master Ye, Cui Fujun has just given the order that he wants you to register a tablet . Since you refused, he had no choice but to activate the Heavenly Master Tablet that you are holding . You can’t reject this time . Haha . Haha . Done my job . See you, Heavenly Master Ye… . ”
His voice trailed off . He was gone for real this time .
“Damn! He set a trap for me!” Ye Shaoyang looked at the tablet as he angrily spoke .
“But, is this bad for you?” Xiao Ma asked curiously .
Ye Shaoyang weighed the tablet as he heaved a sigh, “No . Many Daoists fight for a tablet for whole life . ”
“But why do you not seem happy to own one?” Xiao Ma asked, feeling even more curious .
“No . I want it, but not now,” said Ye Shaoyang, “No one can take my tablet away if I register late . It is sort of my possession . I don’t want to register that early because that will mean a confer of title from the Netherworld Council . In the future, they will ask for your help with lots of stuff . I will lose my freedom . ”
Xiao Ma scratched his head, “What help will they ask for?”
“The matters that the Netherworld Council cannot handle in the mortal world . Let’s say, an Undead King appears in one area, the Netherworld Council will push it to you . You can’t just reject them if you have accepted the title . ”
Ye Shaoyang heaved again, “I was too careless to wear the tablet on me, so they got the chance to activate it . That would equal to registering with the council . A Heavenly Master will only get one tablet in a lifetime . The council will not give out another one to the same Daoist if he or she loses it . I have no choice but to take this tablet as mine now . ”
