Lu Hanmo stepped forward and knocked on the door gently. The thought of seeing the one he had longed for day and night made him unable to help feeling happy.
After parting with Shushu that day, he had started planning for today. This was the birthday he had been looking forward to the most since he grew up. From now on, he hoped they could spend every birthday together, both his and Shushu’s. No birthday gift could compare to being with his beloved.
Glancing down at his wrist, Lu Hanmo’s lips curved into a faint smile at the sight of the watch Luo Shu had given him.
The courtyard door was quickly opened.
Fu Yi was surprised to see Lu Hanmo at the door and exclaimed, "Young Master Lu! How come you’re here?" Wasn’t Luo Shu supposed to be looking for him at the base?
"Is Shushu in her room?" Lu Hanmo entered the courtyard and looked toward Luo Shu’s room, a gentle smile gracing his stern face. Would she be surprised to see him?
"She’s already left, went to the base to find you," Fu Yi said. After Luo Shu got up, she had managed to send him and Qian Wei away separately. By the time they returned, Luo Shu was no longer at home. She had just left a note on the table, telling them she went to the base to look for Lu Hanmo. Unexpectedly, Lu Hanmo and she had the same idea. It was just a pity that they still missed each other.
Lu Hanmo was taken aback for a moment, a hint of helplessness and indulgence flashing in his eyes, "I see." He guessed that little girl was probably at the base by now, right?
Luo Shu looked around Lu Hanmo’s room, which was neatly organized and simple, with no furniture other than a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe. The quilt on the bed was neatly folded, meticulously and squarely arranged.
Seeing Lu Hanmo’s photo on the desk, Luo Shu walked over and picked it up.

Lu Hanmo glanced at them and said indifferently, "Are you all very free?"
"I just remembered, I still have clothes to wash."
"I’ve got soup simmering on the stove, better hurry back and check on it."
"Ow! My stomach hurts so much; I can’t hold it, I need to use the restroom right away." The people swiftly scattered, making various excuses. If they angered Cold-faced Yama, they knew they could be in real trouble.
Lu Hanmo’s lips slightly curved as he glanced at the flowers in his hand and strode toward his dormitory. He wondered if Shushu would like these flowers?
Hearing the sound of the door opening from outside, Luo Shu knew Lu Hanmo was back, a slight smile forming on her lips.
But she didn’t turn around, continuing to stir-fry the dish in the pan. The vegetables she was cooking today were all taken from her space, and in addition, she had specially taken out a bottle of red wine, planning to have a romantic evening with Lu Hanmo.
Lu Hanmo came up behind Luo Shu, wrapped his arms around her slender waist, and rested his chin gently on her shoulder, whispering in her ear with his charming, brisk voice, "It smells good!"
Luo Shu turned her head to look at Lu Hanmo and playfully asked, "Are you talking about the dish, or me?"

Lu Hanmo held Luo Shu’s hand and with a slight effort, pulled her into his embrace, "Then feel it properly!" What to do? He was getting a bit jealous of himself.
