"Your wish has come true," Lu Hanmo said as he scooped Luo Shu onto his lap, affectionately tapping her cute nose. His eyes brimmed with tenderness. Seeing her happy made him happy too.
Luo Shu rested her head against Lu Hanmo’s chest, placing one hand in his larger one, entwining their fingers. "Is your task complete?" she asked. Of course, she was overjoyed to be going home, but the thought of being apart from Lu Hanmo for such a long time made her reluctant to let go.
