It wasn’t long before Shi Lanjiao and her husband, accompanied by two men who looked fierce and formidable, arrived at Luo Jiansen’s home.
Seeing that Luo Shu was also there, Shi Lanjiao pulled her husband closer to Luo Jianmin’s direction. They had suffered a big loss at the hands of Luo Shu last time, and they certainly couldn’t afford to provoke the current Luo Shu. That was also why they hadn’t come to make trouble at Luo Jiansen’s in the past few days.
"Calling us here so late at night, do you want us to come and take someone away?" one of the men asked Luo Jianmin, eyeing him. They had come to collect a debt during the day. If it weren’t for Luo Jiansen’s guarantee as the village chief, they would have taken Luo Shan away in the daytime.
Luo Shan shrank, hiding fearfully behind Luo Zheng. Thinking back on the events of the day, she was still somewhat frightened.

Luo Shu curled her lips into a smile, sat down on the bench to one side, and watched the scene with the air of someone waiting for a good show.
Luo Qianyu smiled at Luo Shu and gave her a thumbs-up. She truly was like someone from the Divine Doctor Family; he liked this sister!
Seeing this, Shi Lanjiao and her husband and the two other men no longer hesitated, and with raised fists, began to pummel Luo Jiansen.
"Help! Someone’s getting killed! Help!" Luo Jiansen screamed miserably, unable to find a place to hide and only able to curl up on the ground to endure the beating.
Seeing Luo Jiansen getting beaten, Luo Shan couldn’t help but want to step forward, but Luo Zheng pulled her back, "If he doesn’t learn his lesson, he will continue to treat you the same way."

Chen Zhihe pointed at Luo Jiansen on the ground, beaten black and blue, "You’ve beaten the man up and you say you’ve committed no crime? Are we supposed to wait for you to beat someone to death before you’re committing a crime?"
"Officer comrade, it’s a misunderstanding! She told us to do it," Shi Lanjiao pointed at Luo Shu and said.
"If she told you to beat him, you beat him; if she tells you to kill someone now, would you kill them too? Take them all away!" Chen Zhihe said unrelentingly with a wave of his hand.
Struggling, Shi Lanjiao pleaded loudly at Luo Shu, "Luo Shu, we don’t want the money anymore, I’ll return the IOU to you, please ask the officer to release us." She would rather not want the money than go to jail.
"Yeah, we don’t want the money either, we’ll give you the IOU back too," the man with the mole said, reaching into his pocket, and throwing a piece of paper at Luo Shu.
