Luo Shu helped Meng Yujuan finish packing her luggage and, checking her watch, said to Meng Yujuan, "My friend is still waiting for me, I need to go first."
"Let me walk you out," Meng Yujuan said, putting down the cloth she was using to dust, and walked with Luo Shu towards the exit.
"You can go back in, this is for you." When they reached the stairway, Luo Shu took out a bottle of Snow Skin Cream from her pocket and handed it to Meng Yujuan. Having spent a little time with Meng Yujuan, she felt Meng Yujuan was a decent person, just lacking a bit of self-confidence, probably because of her looks. "This is Snow Skin Cream?!" Meng Yujuan’s eyes widened in surprise when she saw the Snow Skin Cream in Luo Shu’s hands. She had heard of Snow Skin Cream, but its price put it completely out of her reach.
Luo Shu smiled and nodded, "Take it, it will be good for the freckles on your face."
"No, I can’t accept it," Meng Yujuan quickly refused. Although she desperately longed for the Snow Skin Cream, she would never accept such an expensive gift.
"Don’t you want to become more beautiful?" Luo Shu asked with raised eyebrows, seeing the longing in Meng Yujuan’s eyes for the Snow Skin Cream.
"I do! But I can’t accept it. I’ve seen the price of Snow Skin Cream in the newspapers, and it’s very expensive. Luo Shu, thank you! But I hope our friendship is pure, not about charity or giving. One day, I will earn money through my abilities and buy Snow Skin Cream to change my fate," Meng Yujuan said firmly. Her appearance made her insecure, but she had a determination in her heart that had gotten her into Jinchen University. She intended to use this determination to change her looks, and her life as well.
Luo Shu gave a slight smile, not insisting, and put away the Snow Skin Cream, "Then I’ll be off, goodbye!"
Meng Yujuan smiled and waved to Luo Shu, "Goodbye!" This was the first friend in her life, and she would cherish it.
Seeing Meng Yujuan walk back into the dormitory. Yang Li asked with a smile, "Was that girl your friend?"
"Yes," Meng Yujuan affirmed with a hint of surprise in her eyes, nodding her head. Yang Li’s sudden change in attitude must be because of Luo Shu.
"She seems pretty rich," Yang Li said enviously. She had noticed the watch on Luo Shu’s wrist earlier, a watch not just anyone could afford.
"I don’t know, we just met," said Meng Yujuan, picking up the cloth and continuing with her unfinished work. Luo Shu must be wealthy, otherwise, she wouldn’t have casually offered a bottle of Snow Skin Cream. However, whether Luo Shu was wealthy didn’t matter to her; what she wanted to cherish was the friendship between them.
When Luo Shu arrived at Lake Heart Pavilion, she saw that besides Lu Hanmo and the other two, there were a few girls, enjoying the scenery of the lake. However, their eyes would occasionally stray to Lu Hanmo and his friends, then shyly shift away.
Luo Shu couldn’t help but smile. The allure of those three was no small matter.
Seeing Luo Shu approach, Lu Hanmo and his friends all breathed a sigh of relief. If it weren’t for their worry that Luo Shu wouldn’t find them, they would have left the place by now. Although those girls hadn’t spoken to them, the way they looked at them was almost too much to stand.
Watching the backs of Lu Hanmo and his two friends as they left, the girls in Lake Heart Pavilion felt a sense of loss. They had hoped for a beautiful encounter, but the men simply left without a backward glance, leaving not a trace behind yet causing ripples in their hearts.
"Shushu, why were you gone so long?" Lu Hanmo asked with concern. He had been worried something had happened to her because of the long wait.
"I just met a girl and went to the dorm with her," Luo Shu said with a smile.
"Shall we go back now?" Lu Hanmo nodded and asked. He had to return to the training camp in two hours, and every meeting they had was so brief.
"Yes!" Luo Shu reached out and held Lu Hanmo’s hand. She wished that for the time that followed, it would be just the two of them.
But time was merciless, and despite their mutual desire to stop it, the moment for them to part still arrived.
"Hanmo, when you’re on leave, I’ll come to see you at the training camp," Luo Shu said, gazing at Lu Hanmo reluctantly. At times , her heart ached as if it were being tightly clenched.
"I’ll wait for you!" Lu Hanmo stretched out his arms to hold Luo Shu in his embrace, holding her tightly as if he wanted to melt her into his body. After a long while, he finally let go of her, turned around, and walked away. He dared not linger, for lingering would only make leaving harder.
Watching Lu Hanmo’s retreating figure until she could see him no longer, Luo Shu reluctantly withdrew her gaze. Even though their meetings were short, they were the happiest and most joyful times for her. But every time they faced separation, it was the most sorrowful and heartbreaking moment. She truly wished they could always be together, never to part.
Turning around, she saw Yun Han sitting there, looking at her.
Luo Shu smiled faintly and sat down opposite Yun Han, "Have you recovered all your memories? How do you feel now?" She hadn’t checked his pulse for the past two days and didn’t know if his life force was still ebbing away.
Yun Han responded with a smile tinged with bitterness, "Are you so eager for me to recover because you don’t want to live with me?"
Luo Shu shook her head with a smile, "How could that be? It’s just that I’ll be starting school soon, and I’m afraid that when I move to the campus, you won’t be able to take care of yourself." He was her friend, and naturally, she would not abandon him.
"I’m already well, you don’t have to worry," Yun Han said with a smile. Although he couldn’t make her treat him the same way she treated Lu Hanmo, having her care was enough to satisfy him.
"Give me your hand, let me check your pulse," Luo Shu offered, extending her hand.
Yun Han nodded and presented his hand before Luo Shu.

Looking at her pale, slender hands that seemed like exquisitely crafted works of art, Yun Han suddenly felt the urge to hold them in his own and savor the feeling.
Feeling Yun Han’s intense gaze, Luo Shu withdrew her hand, "Your life force is still slipping away, but it has slowed down a lot. Do you have a way to cure yourself?" Why was he looking at her like that? Could it be that he had feelings for her?
